any style comparison? Janney? Oates? Krejci?
I don't like doing comparisons. People ask for them, but you can't compare a junior player to an NHL player.

I've seen comparisons to Claude Giroux and Ryan Callahan out there but that's comparing them as junior players. Have you seen them play junior? I'm not really into those comps.

If you want a style comparison from junior forget Giroux and Callahan and think Mitch Marner. Marner had 77 assists in 57 games in his draft +1 year, Poitras 69 in 58 games. The difference is Poitras didn't get to play with Matthew Tkachuk and Christian Dvorak as linemates. But he's not the goal scorer Marner was.

Does he kill penalties by chance?

Does he kill penalties by chance?
Yes he does. And he takes the majority of faceoffs for Guelph, especially defensive zone faceoffs - at least since Guelph traded Danny Zhilkin and he started playing exclusively at center (he spent a lot of time on wing when Zhilkin was with the club) and he is 56.7% on the dot, which is 6th in the league (as an 18 year-old) among centers with more than 500 faceoffs.

Just my opinion, but the decision on whether the Bruins offer him a contract all starts tomorrow for Mantykivi. He needs a strong showing at both ends of the ice and a deep playoff run.

Thought you wrote Ass hat. LMAO

Friday Night Wrap

PC with a monster effort but it wasn't enough as they lose to BU 2-1 in OT
Svedebäck 23 saves, really solid Freshman year
Duran 2 shots 0-1 faceoffs, seemed a bit off but what can you do, decent year, beat his point totals from last season in 11 less games but I would like to see him stay in school 1 more year
Gallagher 3 shots +1 they play for Hockey East Glory tonight

Harvard took care of business beating Cornell 1-0 in OT, Langenbrunner his usual zeros across the board but he actually saw the ice deep into the 3rd, Harvard is a lock for the round of 16 so doesn't matter if they lose tonight in the final

And the season ends for my guy Jake Schmaltz and North Dakota
He had 1 assist 3 shots 18 for 28 faceoffs in the 3-2 OT loss, statistically a down year, battled injuries, he seems to be the "faceoff guy" and defensive specialist, almost certain he'll be back for his Junior year

DiPietro the backup as Maine lost 4-3

Dyck 29 saves 2-0 loss

Brunet 1 goal 1 assist 3 shots -2 3rd Star 6-5 loss , I believe he sits with 73 points with maybe 4 games left

Edward 3 shots +1 6-3 win

Harrison 1 goal 1 assist 4 shots +3 2nd 🌟 3-0 win

Mast vs Poitras
Poitras 3 assists 3 shots +2 7-6 SO win
Mast 1 goal 2 shots +1

Locmelis 1 goal 3 shots +1 4-2 win

I've heard nothing regarding Olson and Mcfaul
Did hear Kuntar was leaning towards staying for his Senior year but I've got nothing to back that up,so we wait

Seriously appreciate the effort you put into these posts. I know it’s a lot more than typing the words. I know there is a lot invested in the background that goes into each update.

Poitras is an assist machine. And Guelph traded away two key players off the roster(Zhilkin, Pastujov) earlier in the season.

He must have some kind of deft passing touch/vision

Love how Brunet is turning out. Not only looks like a good offensive talent. But at 6'3 height to boot....
