I don't want to make excuses for him, but he has been battling injuries and he is currently out with injury.

Fair enough, and I would still look to sign him next week. I just think he need to have a real breakout season this year to move up to a top 5 rating in this system, and with injuries, and maybe other things he simply hasn't had that needed breakout season

Lohrei seems much better defensively than in the past. This guy is going to flourish under the current coaching staff. I really think he will be our best offensive D man, but that’s just me.
I’d love to watch him play. I love his size

Gasseau, Oskar Jellvik, and Trevor Kuntar look like decent pick ups by the Bruins in the mid and late rounds from the way things are going at Boston College. Something the Bruins have been struggling with in previous years.

Their middle to late round picks the last 4 drafts have all been pretty interesting. Other than bychov they all still look like they have a chance. Some look very interesting.

But in general it is not just the bruins who struggle with mid to late round picks. They are basically 10% chance or less of ever playing 200 games in the NHL once you get past pick 100, so basically if you get 1 guy out of every 2 years (from 4th round on) who becomes a 3 season NHL player you are basically meeting expectation If you get more than that you are beating the odds. So we will see how this crew works out

I was able to catch the end of this game last night. I see Gasseau is listed as a center. Is he going to likely to play C or W as he moves up?
He's been mostly if not exclusively on the wings at BC, hard to say what's the plan for next year and beyond ,Rumor has it Gauthier is staying another year ,the two of them are like Milk and Cookies, they go great together, I wouldn't mess with it

Wow. That clip is wow. Does he normally play that hard on the puck? Dayum son. Took it to the middle under hands it to the open man.
His game has grown a lot since October

Poitras Continues to Thrive in 2022-23

Without a doubt, Matthew Poitras is having as good of a season than any other Bruins prospect. In 55 OHL games for the Guelph Storm, the 54th pick of the 2022 Entry Draft has 15 goals and 63 assists and he has won 56% of his face-offs, an area the Boston scouts were impressed with him in.
Poitras is on a 13-game point streak, three goals, and 19 assists, and had a hand in all three Storm goals in a 10-3 loss to the Flint Firebirds on March 3 with a goal and two assists. In February, he had points in 12 of Guelph’s 13 games. There is no doubt that Poitras has a very good offensive game, something that stuck out to the Bruins ahead of the draft, but he has taken it to another level this season. He is working his way up the ranks to her the top of the Bruins’ prospects list this season.

I will be talking to Mantykivi next week. See if I can pry what he wants to do from him.

As a BC fan I hope this rumor is true--and that Nesterenko also returns. You could have a top six of Nesterenko-Gauthier-Gasseau and the entire top line from the USNTDP behind them. I certainly would not break that line up!

Eventually I'd like to see what he can do in the middle but for now, wing is great because it takes away from some of the defensive responsibilities.

The issue I have with him on wing is he is not selfish enough. I guess that will come as he becomes more confident in his abilities.

I look at his extremely low SOG and attempted SOG and his shooting percentage and think that yeah his %age may come down a couple of points but his goals would still see a jump if he would shoot more.

That said, easily exceeded my expectations.
