Let's not rush this kid. He is aware that the Bruins want to sign him. If wants to play here, he will sign. If not, perhaps we can get a mid round pick and trade his rights. We do not have to worry about this till next season. If he is as good as Vesey, he will be our 3rd line winger in 2018 assuming none of our other prospects and we have a great deal of them do not move up on the depth chart.

Did Debrusk's contract really slide this season or is that just an error CapFriendly hasn't corrected yet?

It slides. Players that are AHL eligible in their Draft + 2 year have their first pro year slide. Happened with Subban, which is why he was waiver exempt this year. We have 3 more years of ELC for DeBrusk.

That's awesome, thanks for the explanation

Thought this was pretty cool. Heinen is two years older than Krejci was and a year older than Marchand was, but still, a very notable and impressive achievment ... and he's not done yet.

Any updates on Bjork? This guy gonna walk for sure.

Disagree. But if he does walk, I hope he signs with the Rangers. The last two players to do that, (Kevin Hayes & Jimmy Vesey), watched the team they snubbed go to the Stanley Cup Final. Chicago won. Nashville TBD.

We could use some of that karma as a consolation prize if he walks.

Bjork may still sign this offseason, and even if he doesn’t, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s eager to test the market. Even if he plans on signing in Boston at the end of all of this, the young forward still has very good reason to hold off on signing a contract. Next season, should he remain at Notre Dame, Bjork would have the opportunity to compete for a national championship, an Olympic medal, and possibly even a Stanley Cup, all in one season.

didn't read this, but another point in boston's favor is he's still able to burn a year of his deal if he signs next spring. nobody else can offer him that option.

Zboril looks like a project to me. Going to need plenty of seasoning.

Don't read to much what you see at the Memorial, guys are burnt, they hve played a ton of hockey, some close to 90 games plus. Barzal had a terrible tournament and Chabot looked terrible tonight, except for his goal. Strome has struggled for parts of this tourname as has Debinkcat. Only players who have shown speed throughout the games have been the Windsor players, may have something to do with 44 days off before the tournament started.
