I've only seen Griffith listed at 5'10" or 5'11"
The Bruins web site has Griffith at 5'9" and 192 pounds.

Interesting.
In my experience that is the worst place to get up-to-date data on players. That data may be from his draft year. Having said that, the Roster handed out at Training Camp also lists those stats.
Mark Divver has a good article on the trials and tribulations of Jared Knight, who is healthy now and trying to stick in Boston.
Here are comments from Coach Cassidy:
Coach Cassidy comments: That kind of play – generating an opportunity through physical play — is something that P-Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy wants to see more of from Knight. And it could be a key for Knight as he looks to carve out a niche for himself as a pro. “Hopefully, (the injuries are) behind him and he can get into a rhythm, find his place in the lineup. He might be one of those guys where it was a certain way in junior and then he has to modify his game,’’ Cassidy said in a pre-camp conversation.
“Higher energy, force turnovers, use your body. He’s a strong guy. Be physical on the forecheck. Create some havoc with his speed and his physicality. He’s going to have to use it to create offense. Whereas in junior he was creating offense with the puck a lot, maybe now he has to do it in a different manner.
“If he could be a good two-way player that can chip in offensively, become a better 200-foot, all-around player, I think the organization would be happy with that, for now, where he’s consistently in the lineup, maybe in a third-line sort of role, get on special teams, be a 15-to-18-minute-a-night player. Then he’s making progress,” Cassidy said.

Injuries or not, guessing he probably would have developed a little quicker if he hadn't been playing 4th line minutes in PRO on his off wing behind ECHL call ups?
That will probably be in the next article?...
If Knight continues to show strong in camp, but does get sent down, he will see more than a third line role in PRO. I'm hoping we don't get to find out because he's the 4th line RW in BOS.
Knight dead last tonight in TOI …
Are we seeing the beginning of Knight Shaft, Chapter II ?

A friend of mine has a kid stationed somewhere in Michigan and he's a big B's fan. Said Knight was all over the place and had a very good game. Goalie made a great save on him from in close, he had 3 or
4 nice hits, won some faceoffs, blocked shots, and he said the penalty was BS. One of the Wings players knocked Knight into the goalie and he got called.
Sounds like exactly the type of game you want out if a young prospect trying to make the team on an "energy" 4th line??
Good to hear. Knight seems like a totally different player this year.
Ferlin had a great stat line too. Something like 1 assist, +2, 3 shots, 3 hits in 12:00, all even strength.
Hopefully our two right wing power forwards can show they're ready to help at the NHL level this year.

Chapter 3. Remember, Dale Hunter "had it out for him" too.
Brad, you are too funny, but he who laughs last laughs the loudest they say. I waited 6 years for Soderberg, if I have to wait a little longer before Knight makes it, that's cool.
I want nothing more than for Knight to succeed.
At the end of the day, the buck stops at him though. Not which ever coach he has at the time. He's got the potential to have some great tools....but he has to put them together.
Clearly Claude, PC, and the rest of the gang don't feel he's ready...as he hasn't made it past second cut yet. That's the finally healthy, not coming to camp too heavy, etc. version.
I'm not giving up on him, but as I said...i'm not buying the "pen Knight on your third line this year!" stuff either anymore.
It's not always the teachers fault, sometimes the child just isnt that bright.

I didn't have him penciled in on the 3rd line. He would have done fine on the 4th line though. Funny part is even Knight detractors would have to admit that he's looked pretty good this camp and certainly not like a player that should be slotted on the 4th line in PRO behind ECHL call ups and FA signees.
You are right sometimes, the child just isn't that bright...but when the teacher takes a prize pupil that was recruited to that school over many other students and then puts him in the remedial reading group, I guess I would have to question the teacher's motives.
I don't mind Knight getting sent down because this year with Pandolfo and Sweeney there, I would bet cash money that Knight won't be on the 4th line playing his off wing.
Puts him in a remedial reading group when they realized the prize pupil with all the potential in the world didn't have the accelerated learning curve they had anticipated. So while he was stuck at the level they brought him in at the other students continued to get smarter and slowly passed him.. 5 star recruits sometimes never get an opportunity to succeed where they are at based on the sheer numbers and don't receive an opportunity until they transfer to a lesser school. (Joe flacco transferring from Pitt to be the starter at Delaware) Maybe knight needs a change of scenery to a team that isn't as prestigious as Boston. A team that can afford to let a player sink or swim and take a risk playing him knowing he might be a detriment if he can't learn on the fly. To play for a cup contender management cannot afford to take those risks the way a small market team with less pressure can. Arizona would be a good spot.
Not saying I don't believe in knights potential, but I also don't believe that the bruins sending him down after first cuts was another chapter in the "knights getting hosed" book. If they thought he could play he'd still be in camp. They don't think he's ready yet. I do expect him to take on a larger role in providence this year though. If he's playing bottom 6 minutes again for the full season and doesn't make a big leap offensively we are going to be entering bust territory starting next off season. Granted I've been preemptively calling him a bust for the past 2 seasons but that was just speculation on my part back then. There would be legitimate credence to my argument with another underwhelming season this year that knight apologists would have to acknowledge.
