I’m sticking with ankle something.

And that’s fine and I actually agree with you based on what I saw. And I sincerely hope that’s all it is, because that would be the best case scenario.

But in reality, you and I are just guessing and we could be way wrong.

Feels really bad for Carlo IF it's longterm but until we hear from the Bruin brass, I'm praying that it's a minor injury and he'll be fine in a few days..

Also anticipating Nash isnt a serious injury and he'll be back for TB Tuesday. He's become such a valuable player for us and we desperately need him back as soon as possible..Been an awesome year for all of us bruin fans but brother, what a bad year for injuries. But to see this team the past month not skipping a beat, just unreal. So proud to be a Bruin fan. Been saying that since the early 70's but have never been prouder than I am now..

That injury looked pretty damn bad. I’m not going to speculate where it happened - no doctor would without an examination and an X-ray...and/or CT and/or MRI. But just the way that he twisted...to me it said “at least 2 months”, which, at this point, is basically the rest of season. I just hope it’s not something career-ending.

We’re probably not going to find out more until Monday at the earliest - or even later. Even his doctors probably have a range of possibilities, and they’ll know more when they can take quality images after the swelling has gone down.

Of course, if he’s ruled out for playoffs, they’ll probably be more candid and do an “end of the year” type report, which can be (slightly) more detailed.

Career ending is a bit dramatic. He’s likely looking at surgery, rehab and returning next year somewhere between camp and Christmas. Career ending knee injuries don’t happen to 20 year olds very often and there is no reason to fear that is his fate (like less then 1% chance of that).

My guess is high ankle sprain, if he takes shots he could skate again in a few weeks, but it wont feel right until July...and that's with not putting a lot of weight on it...so he could potentially be dealing with it until September. Tough for the kid

Just hope he didn't break or tear anything

I’m with you. Fibula/tibia just by how it bent.

My heart breaks for him.

I did almost the same thing except drunk and crossing a driveway walking home.

I hopped home and waited till my room mate got up for a ride to the hospital.

I went into the ER using a hockey stick as a crutch, three other guys came in on wheelchairs, it was really icy.

I was the only one with a break, the nurses commented ... it's always the one that hops/hobbles in with the break, the ones who ask for chairs have sprains.

Poor kid. Bad luck once again.

Broken fibula may be better than a knee though.

Depending on how bad it is that’s a 4-8 week healing time. A knee, if surgery is needed, can take months.

Hope they fix him up and he heals up quick.

Has there been any word on Nash?

What is the recovery time for a broken fibula ?
Depends on the type of break, what hardware they put in (can it stay or does it need to be removed) and overall how he heals.

Worst case scenario is that he won’t be ready for camp and we won’t see him until late October/November

A lot of people say that the Garden ice is some of the worst in the league. I wonder if bad ice contributed to the way he fell. Ironically McAvoy's injury happened in the same area.

I’m speculating but I’ve dealt with 3 fibula injuries and each one was different. I’m no athlete of course.

I’d prefer a break to a tear. Those seems to linger forever
