Wingels had a great game against Tampa, but I'm not convinced Gionta will be odd man out with Debrusk back. I think he has been surprisingly effective on the forecheck, even if he hasn't directly produced any points. He does seem to wear down late in games, but I think he was a good signing as playoff insurance.
It will be interesting to see where everyone will slot in,once everyone is back and healthy. A nice problem to have.
DeBrusk Likely to Return Against Florida
DeBrusk was initially termed as probable, but it certainly sounds like he's set to return.
"He's gonna go play with [David Krejci] on the left wing," said Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy of DeBrusk. "We'll see how he is. He's looked good the last few days, his legs. Sometimes a little breather at this time of the year is not the end of the world. It's been a long year. He'll have to get his timing back, but his legs sure looked good." DeBrusk was sidelined for eight straight games.
"We'll move Ryan to the right wing on that line if we want to keep Krech and Donato together," said Cassidy.
"Danton [Heinen's] played over there, so if we have to go that route, Ryan can drop down with [Riley] Nash and [David Backes]. But that would be sort of the easiest thing to keep the chemistry going."
"I've always liked Noel as a center over the years," said Cassidy. "But him moving to the wing as opposed to Kuraly [at the start of the year] I thought was an easier move. I think Sean's more comfortable in the middle.
I liked [Noel] in the middle. With [Tommy] Wingels it's a nice fit, they read off each other."
