I wouldn’t target anything if i were them. Just play it cool. Heal, rest, whenever the time comes start to test it out a bit and go from there.

If they can play at some point in the spring, excellent. If not, I’d still have them traveling everywhere with the team and attending practices in whatever capacity they are able to (is that even allowed?)

No way i tempt the gods to potentially spread negative juju on these guys, or disrupt the brotherhood they got going on. This is an epic run. Business as usual.

No update available

Montgomery provided no update on Taylor Hall, who was seeking a second opinion on his lower-body injury (believed to be a knee).

During the game, Hall and Nick Foligno (lower body) appeared in a luxury box with fans. Foligno was wearing a large stabilizing brace on his right knee.

Montgomery didn’t say much to his injured veterans.

“ ‘We’re gonna need you when it matters most,’ ” Montgomery said he told the injured forwards. “ ‘Get ready for playoffs.’ Whenever they’re ready, that’s when we’re gonna use them again.”

He didn’t tell us much really, but at this time in the season that’s to be expected,I doubt even if they had a prognosis that someone was out to next season that they would say.

Halls not in a brace, a boot, anything so first round seems definitely possible.

Foligno's brace and crutches situation seems bad at the onset, Im still holding on for MCL or LCL Sprain in his right knee. McAvoy was out 5 weeks from his MCL sprain was it? Add an extra week or 2 for age id imagine. so mid april? right to the end of the year or into round 1

foligno injury looked bad. like out until next year bad.

In fairness to Uncle Nick, he's the one where if he's only back for the finals at worst, I'd take that too. That's June?

Just get him on the ice for a cup finals! He deserves that much.

Hathaway-Nosek-Freddy (Greer) are ready to rock'n roll till then.

Really good to hear Hall is LIKELY to be back.

Isn't it strange that they let him walk out, limp out, of the locker with no brace, or crutches ?
Why not be cautious and do both ? Makes me wonder.

Looks like a "don't ask don't tell" wink and nod with Foligno's leg prop and Hall's month off with pay.

At least that's what my crystal ball says.

After Tampa's collapse to the Jackets in 2019 I'm not counting any chickens til they hatch.
Ok ok I hear you. One shift at a time and one game at a time .let's go!

If Hall and/or Foligno come back before the end of the reg season, are there not cap implications? Would they be over the cap, necessitating some sort of moves, assignments?

Hard to predict without an actual date. Foligno wouldn't matter. He's only on IR so his return would not affect the cap at all. There is also some confusion with Jakob Lauko. He was sent down and back up on TDL so that he'd be eligible for the playoffs. AHL Transaction page shows him as recalled to Boston. But he is not on the Boston roster. And the transactions that get sent to me don't show him as recalled. Anton Strallman does show on the Boston roster.

Until that is cleared up, I couldn't begin to give you an answer.

Interesting,. I hope they didn't use one of their precious 4 recalls on Stralman
