No way we have no more picks. That scares me a bit.
We're first in the league but haven't had a first or second round draft pick contribute on this team since McAvoy and Freddy from the 2016 draft, I think we'll be fine without our picks. Vaak, Studnikca, Axel Anderson all busts, Beecher maaaaybe can be a 4C, Lorhei still hasn't turned pro, and Lysell yet to sniff the NHL. Jury's still out on a couple of those guys, but given that sample I feel much better about our managerment flipping the picks for known commodities than I do letting them draft.

But I guess this is a topic for another thread.

Gotta get at least 1 of these guys back for the meaningful games. If not, I would hope they find a way to add a character guy for the left. The sky won't fall in a worst case scenario, but it would certainly be upsetting

Lower; he got an opinion on it then sought out a second opinion which many have speculated means the original opinion was that he needed surgery. Nothing concrete is known, it's the time of year where team's get super tight-lipped about this kind of stuff.
Yeah, this is what's concerning about the "second opinion" thing. If it means surgery, that probably means missing a lot of time, maybe the season/playoffs. I mean, we're still a deep team up front, but it would be nice to have Hall in the mix.

Makes you wonder if Taylor had been playing injured already and finally did himself in. His game has been a bit off since mid-December or so.
Not sure.. he wasn't scoring much but he was still a fast skater from what I saw.

The Hall injury happened early in the 2nd period when he was hit by Burroughs in the corner. He then left the bench and came back later (not sure exactly when). After he came back though, he looked fine to me, no discomfort and played the rest of the game. And he actually had a hard rush with speed down the side 1 on 1 with the defenseman and got a decent shot off in the 3rd. Whistle went and he looked without a problem skating off the ice for the line change.

Makes me believe it's possible Hall isn't bothered by it as much as what he was given as the diagnosis.

But really wonder what it could be if he didn't have much of a problem finishing the game.

Makes me think it's a torn meniscus and not an ACL/MCL. Fingers crossed.

Frankie fat shamer says 4 weeks roughly for Hall? Wonder if it’s something he’s looking for confirmation he can play through and get surgery in the off season.

Foligno he said may miss reg season wonder if MCL-LCL sprain

They must both be out for the rest of the season or else wouldn't they be over the cap with the new additions??

But if one or the other (or both) come back for the playoffs then they'd be ok with the cap loophole that Tampa exploited with Kucherov a couple years ago

Good call. Not forgetting picking at or near the bottom being a perennial playoff team. Boston isn't any ordinary hockey town. We aren't Columbus. Boston has always demanded perfection.
