Gotta be honest, Lemieux isn't what I expected.
Now, a couple of caveats:
1) He's a good 4th liner and that matters.
2) I see people complaining that he fought after the buzzer but I don't care about that. I don't care about fights themselves. Don't care who "wins" them, don't care when they happen, don't care *if* they happen. I want to see a response when it's warranted but fighting isn't he only way to do that and I couldn't care less about who, when, or how. I appreciate that he did something.
All that said, after watching Frederic and Ritchie all year, not to mention every god damn body on the Capitals...I don't find Lemieux annoying at all. I haven't seen opposing fans talk about him in forever. At this point, Buchnevich does that more.
I never expected him to be Avery as a player and I always thought that was silly. Peak Avery was the best 2nd liner in the NHL. But I expected him to be a constant bitch.
I just don't see it. I have seen it before: remember the fake glove drop? But like, when was the last time?
