One of the more humiliating games I've seen in a long time. Physically dominated. Outplayed. Exposed. The younger Ds starting to lose confidence. Goalies are shaky.

I'm not even mad. The roster is missing so much talent and you know Boston was eventually going to find their game again after two stinkers. This lineup a preseason lineup.

This lineup was exactly the same as the lineup that beat the Bruins 6-2 48 hours before.

After we lose to one of the best teams in the league who was bound to have a strong game, the season is over. It was the same shit when the Isles shut us out game 1 and we shut them out game 2.

The rest of this season. Because that's EXACTLY what a young, inexperienced team will do.

This is the truth. Young teams are going to be inconsistent. That just comes with the territory.

Do the Rangers have some roster issues that need to be addressed? Sure

Is our coach perfect? Absolutely not..

But, this was always on the table when trying to go for "youth movement".

Something I know fans have been clamoring for decades.

They like to bitch and throw temper tantrums(I'm guilty). Thats perfectly fine.

But, sometimes people tend to lose all objectivity. To the point that the critcism becomes hollow.

This was objectively a very bad game.

1.09 xGF is 13th percentile league wide this season.
2.13 xGA is 23rd percentile league wide this season.

The game wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but I think there are positives.

Fox and Lindgren continue to be our top pairing. Miller, despite the occasional gaffe, still very much has top-pairing upside. Even Hajek looks much more composed and stronger on his skates. The fact that we have K'AM, Lindgren, and Hajek on the left and still with all of our d-men in the pipeline is a big positive. Never mind Tarmo.

The future right with Trouba, Fox, Nils, and Schneider is also a lot of high-quality depth.

No question the forward group needs help. When Colin Blackwell is looking like your best forward, it is both a testament to his surprising play and our lack of depth. Stat-wise, he looked like a good signing at the time, but he has exceeded expectations. Still, you need to look to other guys to elevate their game. They did it on Friday, but were absent today.

We have a bunch of guys out, but coaching hasn't been all that helpful in the situation. I felt like I saw Lemmy out there every other shift in the third, and the fight at the buzzer was too little too late.

But we do know there's that next gear. They showed that on Friday. That's what frustrates me. They were missing passes, staying to the outside, not finishing checks...it was a half-hearted effort.

And Mika...don't even know what to say there.

You're taking a split off the best team in the division down 3 of your top 9 forwards (including your best), and one of your best Dmen.

Yeah it sucks to lose but this really isn't a game anyone should have important takes off of.

When the team is Jekyll and Hyde it's no surprise fans are going to be the same. I'm surprised it's not worse in here. Most games there is almost 10 pages in the PGT an hour after the game. We're on the 3rd.

Maybe the more vocal guys quit the game and did something else but this is a strange game to call posters out on. I agree this place is extremely bi-polar most times, but this wasn't exactly a great effort by the boys. They should be called out.

I'm just saying, this "AHL" team just laid a whopping on one of the best teams in the league only hours ago. Both teams same rosters, night and day results. I get that it's a bad roster, but that's not the reason they didn't repeat the results from Friday.

Because thats his job, development. Thats why he is still the head coach. Quinn is here to get the Rangers to a certain point. My guess development into a low seated playoff team.

Once thats been achieved, they will move on.

Course, Quinn needs to stay on that path. They need to be a .500 team this season.

He’s proven he sucks at it. Get a better coach in here. Don’t need Trotz. Just someone who knows wtf he’s doing.

And we’re going to need to go on quite winning streak to become a .500 team. That doesn’t seem likely in this division.
