I saw that Strome had a helper on the first goal of the game. Good to see Strome slotting right back into the thick of things.

finished with two assists and a +1 even though they got beat badly. Strome still leads BPT in scoring with 35pts in 24 games, Lee next with 31 in 40 games.

Strome is 10th in AHL scoring as well.

I hope he's back with the Islanders soon.

I understand we want Strome playing as much as possible, but demoting him made the Isles a lot weaker IMO.

We need every single point we can get. I just don't get this management.

4 more games and I expect Strome to be back. Once he's missed the 5 games to satisfy the Olympic break condition, they'll call him back up.

I just wonder who's roster spot he'll be taking. Martinek's mysterious back spasms could return after 4 more games.

They might have to put Hamonic on IR. Although in that case, we should call up another defenseman. Another possibility is Regin finally hitting the waiver wire.

I still want Regin to succeed somehow. He's a likable player, works hard, is good defensively, I just wish he was better or simply played a 4th line role. Maybe moving Cizikas to the 3rd line is the way to go.

I think Martinek is serviceable. Donovan still looks shaky at times on defense, but they've already sent him down and re-called him so I think it's likely that Strome stays in the AHL until (maybe) someone gets hurt.

I'd probably waive Regin or Boulton, but Boulton's niche role (in which he's pretty effective) is not likely to be gone.

Strome's time will come. I'm not too worried about that.

That is awesome! I could only imagine the islanders will force the kid to bust down the door again. Strome did it already with some darn good play in the AHL. Kinda hit a "slump" here but like I said, glad to see him hitting his stride again.

Bridgeport beat Portland 4-3 in a shot out, trailing 3-2, Strome scored with 20 seconds left in regulation.
Strome also with an assist.

Strome and Lee hooking up again! Ryan, please, I beg please keep this us. After what transpired with Nino we really need a big win with our top blue chip prospect.

Sickening to see how they went after Strome like that. Things escalated after the Halmo hit I understand. However, to jump a guy after a goal like that... Classless!

I love Strome's attitude. He's giving Pacquette the business about something on the way out. He also really still looks like a kid.

How did Strome *not* get an assist on the last goal?

From what I got from it, it seemed like he was saying something along the lines of "Next time only 1 of you and then we'll talk"... I love how he can still talk smack after getting jumped like that. Two things I worry about from this... 1) I hope it doesn't start a trend of people going after him and 2) I hope they don't recall him before Friday when I see the Tigers play the Devils in Albany

Id like to see Mayfield get a look see.. I mean weve seen Donovan and Ness. Lets try Scott and see what we got for a few games. Ofcourse if he does make it uphere, Cappy will keep him on the bench.

Mayfield would have to attend all the prerequisite meeting before first playing...

Strome left the game with a left hand injury. Was not on the bench for the 3rd.

Let's hope its not serious or sending him down was for nothing.

Any updates on when we might see Pedan on the ice? This has turned out to be a lost season for him.
