2 more fighting majors, 4-2 Bridgeport up to 92 minutes in penalties after 2 periods. Sound Tigers and Wolf Pack doing their part in keeping rivalry alive!

Anders Lee with 2 goals and a fight ! Love this guy, on pace for 30 goals. Can't wait to see him on the Isle.

Hopefully his skating is improving

Plenty of current and former NHL goal scorers aren't/weren't good skaters. Lee is a powerforward goal scorer. He is what he is, a good hockey player.

Was not impressed with Lee at all last season. Hopefully he has improved his skating and gotten stronger as for a pretty big guy he looked pretty weak along the boards from what i saw last season.

I saw an interview with Lee, I forget where or I would copy it, where he was talking about the parts of his play he was working on. Lee is a smart kid, he knows what he needs to do to get up here.

Lee basically took Nino's place in the organization as the goal scoring power forward. Lee has great hands and will be a 30 goal scorer in the NHL, mark my words.

I see him as our version of Johan Franzen, the Mule.

How much longer do we retain the rights to Lee?

He is a RFA after this year, the islanders need to keep him the prospect pool at forward doesnt look great now that nelson and strome are up. Lee will probably be the next forward up if anyone gets hurt the islanders need to see what they got.

The problem is he will never be good on a bigger ice surface :sarcasm:

Can I ask you what your expectations were for him last season?

I though he showed excellent instincts and I was impressed with ability to use his frame.

Not that I had many doubts about his potential, he is a smart kid and BIG, but he is doing much better than I expected. He and Sundstrom are the heart of our forward prospects and both have the tools to succeed in the NHL.

Thank you. I really hope that they keep the kid. From the few times I have seen him play I really like what the kid brings to the table.

Lee's skating isn't far off from where Nino's was. He's got a great shot, and he's a bull in the corners and in front of the net.

Another reason Nino might have been traded. At least I hope so.
This does not justify the value brought back by Nino.

Those are 2 separate items.
