...and you must have been born yesterday if you think he did a good job. Other GM's have had more success than Burke.
Literally, most GMs.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Dave Nonis is the next GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Unclear whether that is interim or unconditional appointment.
I still like Burke. Sorry to see him go, but I don't own the Toronto Maple Leafs, so it's not my call to name their GM.

God, I can't believe I got trolled into putting these rosters up. If you really believe 2008 is better than 2013 then speak now so I don't have to read your opinion any longer
He's a mediocre top pairing defenseman. Hardly sucks. Context is important and you clearly lack it

I'm sure you'll like the next one more...and then resort to blaming Burke for all his missteps.
What better general managers do you feel are available?
You're preparing to crown him as the Murray of the Leafs?![]()
You think it was because of him?
Try a 8 years of losing hockey, ownership with a reputation for interfering in hockey related matters, its an utter disaster.
I can't wait for all the Burke haters to eat crow when they realize the new guy wasn't brought in to do the opposite of Burke... but purely for MLSE's bidding.
Grabovski was and is the best center on both those teams I don't know why he isn't our 1st line center at least for now until we could acquire a #1C
