I like Boyle.

I'm ok with Torts.

When I saw Boyle on the second line, I was ready to kill both of them.

Boyle was one of the best forwards out there tonight. The bottom 6 outplayed the top 6 by a wide margin. That cant happen much anymore, nice when it does, especially in a win

thats actually ok... not every game top 6 will be effective.. and brass played well so i wouldnt go that far as bottom six played better.. its call depth..we had contributions from alot of guys tn.. but long term your deff right!! glad boyle played well.. this guy is a great hockey player.. i stand by him when a lot of guys hate on him here.. hes an effective player...

Boyle's been very good since returning. Glad to hear he got a goal, would've had two if he didn't receive the pass on his backhand

Look at it this way. Boyle steps up in the playoffs. No matter what a Ranger devotee thinks of his hands, you have to stare truth in the face.

He contributes.

Something about the playoffs, brings best out of him LOL. Only if he can duplicate it in the regular season consistently.

Well said.

The crap that Boyle gets here is beyond childish at times. Say what you want, at least he shows up to play.

Zuccarello-Stepan-Nash
Hagelin-Boyle-Brassard
Clowe-Richards-Callahan
Dorsett-Powe-Asham

Makes sense to reward best players (Hags, Boyle)

It's time. Unleash the Boyle.

Remember how Halpern was better than Boyle? :naughty:

When the team is backed against a wall--Boyle shows up. Crappy season but once again he's picking it up in the playoffs. Even if he hadn't scored or assisted last night he was making himself a factor.

Asham did well too in very limited time.

Glad to see Boyle get lots of ice time last night. To me, he was our best player. If he keeps banging and crashing like he has, with his size, he's eventually going to wear down the Washington D.

The fact he's now more dangerous around the net is a bonus.

I think the rest helped Boyle a lot. He looked a little out of shape and seemed pretty banged up for most of the season. He was laboring.

Last night, he was powering his way around everyone. He played like a power forward last night. He played like this in the playoffs until he got injured last year, as well.

I think he heightens his play in the post season much more; as everyone else should...

But he looks confident out there.

I think players like him become more important because there is less space. That's why the teams who are aggressive and big normally do pretty well in the playoffs. When you have to battle for every inch, strength and size are key.

Agreed... Boyle's style lends itself to the post season.

Your best players in the postseason are not necessarily going to be your best players in the regular season and there is nothing wrong with that. It happens in all sports. It's just that they have to be good enough to beat the opposing teams.

Boyle has had some moments of post season excellence which is more than can be said about some cherished members of this team. :D
