Leiweke has done nothing yet when the Leafs win the cup he's done something, anyone can spend money now he has to build the team and STOP trying to win right away, trade everyone they can and draft well.

The reality is no GM ever makes any mistakes and is expected not to have any blemishes or mistakes on their resume. I guess Shanny fits that bill, because he doesn't even have a resume. I stand corrected.

NJ usually employ a pretty aggressive forecheck, in recent years. IIRC the 2-3 press was their calling card during their SCF run.

Did Aaron Ward say, Martin Lapointe who is currently working with the Detroit Red Wings or just say Martin Lapointe who obviously has ties with the Detroit Red Wings when Shanahan was there

The best success is winning the Cup but any management team that can put together a Cup contending team (and keep it together for at least a few years) has achieved some measure of 'something' even if hasn't resulted in a Cup win.
