Being that the Jets are my favorite team after the Rangers, I've watched a lot of their games this season. Lemieux was one of the best forwards for the team during a stretch when the top lines weren't producing, even though he was still getting limited ice time.

Like others have mentioned would love to eventually see him play with Andersson on the other side, they could dominate along the boards.

Sounds like we got a (late) 1st rounder and a 22 year old roster player/top prospect. Looking around the league, especially at the package that Stone returned contingent on his signing, this trade looks great. Lemieux is a player I haven’t watched much so I’m looking forward to watching him the rest of the season. Very similar physical frame to JT Miller.

Brannstrom is obviously a known quantity, but considering what Ottawa got for a signed Stone, I think there isn’t that much difference between the two returns, as you would think the player difference would garner.

Brendan Lemieux reminds me of a young Antoine Roussel

A PITA to play against and will probably be a 10-20 goal scoring winger with 30+ point per year potential.

Could be a situation where he becomes better than that, but I'm not expecting it.

I like his aggressive style of play
I view him as potentially better. He is not just an agitator or a pest, a la Gallagher. He is a thick bodied, kid who has talent around the net. Again, my comparison is (if ALL goes right) a modern day Sergio Mommeso. A consistently belligerent force in the middle of your lineup, be it on second or third line. But one who can also score goals. By belligerent, I mean more than just annoying the other team. I mean one who consistently takes the fight to the other team. But again, with the talent to play a middle 6 role.

Probably more like, "See that guy right there? That's Jimmy Vesey and he's the sickest..."

He kind of is if you think about it tbh given that he's not very good but somehow will probably hit 20 goals and 40+ points this season. Maybe that's what the joke was

Imagine what Vesey could do if he stopped being an idiot on ice.
