He seems to be the kind of player a lot have been begging for - a skilled tough player so we don't need any more McLeod or Glass types. I'm sold
Where would Lemieux slot in on the prospects list?
Above Lias?![]()
Outside the top 5. Likely in the 8-12 range.
What about after he and ADA get into a fight in practice? Is that before or after he takes a run at JT Miller on Wednesday?
Yea i'd have him around 10-11 too.Outside the top 5. Likely in the 8-12 range.
After watching that Sharks-Leafs game a few months ago when everyone wanted to murder Kadri, I was really hoping Gorton would pencil in a bonafide weasel in his to-do list.Really like the acquisition. Posted it a bunch of times in recent months, the Rangers needed a shift disrupter, and they got one.
The fact that he's going to play now and contribute in the NHL is better than getting a prospect at this state in terms of the player that he is.
This is a scarce commodity, you don't have too many kids these day that play the type of game he does.
With Brandon, Lias, and ADA, the Rangers have a nice collection of pesky high compete level players.
This deal is closer to building an identity with the new core, and I'm glad they made it.

He already confirmed that he won't play on the same line with you.
Yeah, I have no inside info, and certainly no way of proving this, but I get the sense that Lemieux was the guy they were after all along. Wonder if they actually preferred him to Roslovic and others...
