Hank would get 12m on the open market. Only Sid and Malkin would get more.
I don't believe that for one minute, I'm afraid. A team might give him 8 million per. That would be it.

I could see ~8.5-9.0. 12 is silly.I don't believe that for one minute, I'm afraid. A team might give him 8 million per. That would be it.
All heart from Boyle. He is accountable for a his poor play.

Exactly. Hank's hometown discount is, "I'll stay in New York if you pay me."
Cursed ****ing hockey team. So much for the positive reports earlier.
Worst case scenario.

Advanced stats only, and only when they fit his argument!
Sadly the majority of the time they prove to be nothing but a barometer to measure individual players without taking into consideration that hockey is a team game played on ice not paper.
If the wrist and back issues are true it would explain his low shooting % and the stiffness in his skating, looked lazy but I don't think he is. Not an excuse but it is what it is.
Not even close.

I will say that I do agree that this team is cursed. Someone sold their soul to the devil in 1994.
A bit of an exaggeration, yes.
If you told people the night it happened that Staal would miss the rest of the season and never fully recover, people would have gone absolutely nuts.
Horrible outcome nonetheless.

I agree it's horrible. Staal doesn't get injured and there's a good chance we're playing tonight. Let's see how a couple months off helps him. I'm still optimistic the old Marc Staal will return.
Sample size is of course tiny. Also his shooting percentage was 2.4%. But of course those analytical principles are ignored by Kershaw when it comes to Nash...
Let’s start here because this was the big topic, obviously. Brad Richards knows he’s being bought out. He’s a smart guy and a pro. John Tortorella talked about Richards, but wouldn’t answer a question about whether his long-time friend would be back.
I guess when you're on the Blue Jackets for most of your career, just making the playoffs is "good".
Im not really concerned about Henke's contract. Hes already making over 6m in terms of cap hit so we dont have to budget for something drastically different. Henke will get a long term deal and be a ranger for 15+ years.
