I would rather see consistent play from both of them.
And the rest of the team.

I hope so, but I am not so sure he meant it that way.27 yo career + 126 stay at home D
Had a bad game along with most of the rest of the team and he should be traded
Tell me it's sarcasm
Dudes way too comfortable and drags his teammates down. Hurry up while someone can look at him as top pairing. For the love of God, please trade Carlo while we still can
How long should we continueCarlo will be fine ~ he made a few nice plays only guys that length and skating could seal of Byfield or Lee
It would not be surprised if he’s a +30
Team Carlo
Earth to Monty:
1. Leave Carlo with Lindholm together
2. Leave Poitras in middle - only on wall on PP which is where he wasn’t yesterday
So we can play Andrew Peeke in the top 4 and PK1? And who…Wotherspoon silly side 3RD ? Alec Regula? How long should we continue
to make excuses for this guy?
Earth to Sweeney: trade him while he still has value.
I agree with most of this. He's definitely struggled so far this season, but I thought he was rock solid last year and is a core guy on our back 6.He hasn’t started out very well and last year was a down year for him, but I think he’ll turn his game around as the team picks up its play. He’s a valuable player on this team on a fine contract and still in his prime years, I don’t agree with his detractors.
Yep, I would rather have Peeke and a legit 2nd line winger than have Carlo and no legit 2nd line winger. So we can play Andrew Peeke in the top 4 and PK1? And who…Wotherspoon silly side 3RD ? Alec Regula?
This is so silly.
I don’t think Carlo can get you a legit 2nd line winger. What they really need is for Lysell to figure it out and step up to the challenge when he gets called up.Yep, I would rather have Peeke and a legit 2nd line winger than have Carlo and no legit 2nd line winger.

He was their best D in the Florida 4-3 loss but that was only game I watched him like he was my kid playingHow long should we continue

I'm not proposing trading Carlo because I think we need him.I don’t think Carlo can get you a legit 2nd line winger. What they really need is for Lysell to figure it out and step up to the challenge when he gets called up.
Maybe trade him for another RHD? Not saying I would trade him, but there could be a match somewhere I guessSo we can play Andrew Peeke in the top 4 and PK1? And who…Wotherspoon silly side 3RD ? Alec Regula?

This, and that's fine, that's why we are fans.I'm not proposing trading Carlo because I think we need him.
However, I think it's a sign of how much we sometimes under and over rate players on our own roster. In my book, Carlo returns a legit 2nd line winger every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
IMO Carlo would have significantly more value around league than many here presume.
Just keep him with Lindholm and call it a day. He will find his game with him.Last year Carlo was a team-leading +23, solid as a rock and the team's best defender. If that's a 'down' year I'd like to order a few more of those. But otherwise I agree with you, he's an important piece on this team.
Can't sugarcoat it though, he hasn't been good enough so far this season and some of the lapses would be inexcusable from a rookie. But I think he'll be fine. There's been some gradual improvement and he well and truly knows what it takes to succeed at this level. Needs to keep knuckling down and find his best form again, and if he can do that the Bruins will be much better for it.
What they need to do is include Lysell in the trade for a number two winger or center. Carlo is the centerpiece but you build around it with Lysell and a pick and get a good second line player.I don’t think Carlo can get you a legit 2nd line winger. What they really need is for Lysell to figure it out and step up to the challenge when he gets called up.
good point + 23 last year and accomplished while killing the bulk of the penalties this team received, makes his plus minus more impressive. I have always been a Carlo guy, but my thinking he is the one that is going to be moved to upgrade scoring on this team, that is not a move I would like to see, but realize it is a possibility.Last year Carlo was a team-leading +23, solid as a rock and the team's best defender. Good luck with that. Carlo is the 85th highest paid defenseman in the league. Add in all the ELC/bridge defenseman and he’s on a very very good deal.Maybe trade him for another RHD? Not saying I would trade him, but there could be a match somewhere I guess
