Snippet has a good example of the lineup

I can see Formenton getting a good 10+ games on the first line.

This is going to be a real test of endurance for Brady. Going from 35-50 games to 70-90 is a shock to the body. I wouldn't be surprised if he hits a wall in January and needs a bit of time to get his second wind. Happens to a lot of NCAA kids. Add in his style of game is very energy intensive.

Remember, power forwards are an exceptionally rare breed. A lot of teams screw up that type by trying to accelerate their development path. We have to be prepared for this kid to have a non-linear development....which means we have to be patient, and let him work through some challenges this year (and possibly next) before looking at full-time NHL deployment.

I saw this posted earlier , like 6 hrs ago.. why haven't any of Sportsnet, TSN ... guys picked this up, or Garrioch .. Ottawa guys, and why hasn't there been an announcement even a tweet from Sens communications?

That tweet is purely speculation.

We have no idea what Tkachuk was signing. He has his Sens hat on, but he’s very clearly not in Ottawa (looks like he’s in his house or something). He has the Sens hat on but that’s about it.

Seems like the photo was taken by Matthew. I wonder if its staged and it a joke... Be pretty funny if it was

He played 90+ games in 2015/16 and 2016/17. I doubt it’ll be too much of a shock to his body, they are on the ice a ton in the NCAA. Less games but more practices, and more gym time. He’ll be fine.

There will be an official announcement today.

Still holding out hope he will hold out for 3 years and go UFA so they can pile on the old punching bag yet again!

London is going to be very deep this year. No guarantee Tkachuk gets first line minutes there.

If he isnt getting first line minutes in the OHL then this draft pick was a terrible mistake.

He is going to London and will play on the top line in all situations. If not having him sign this contract was a terrible idea.

Agreed, if he goes to London you would have to assume it's a "Lazar World Junior's" type of situation where the usage has been previously discussed.

Don't worry. The team will manage to screw up his development. When was the last time we had a 1st rounder amount to anything? Karlsson?

What is Brady's ceiling in a perfect scenario?

Hard to predict a best case scenario for any player, but realistically I think a better playmaking version of Wayne Simmonds is what he could end up if his development goes perfectly.

If he were to end up a 60-70P power forward he'd be a homerun pick at #4. I'm skeptical he has that level of offensive upside, given his historical production, but I hope it happens.
