Tkachuk is now 5th in team scoring behind:

Stutzle
Batherson
Giroux
Chychrun

He has 1 more points than Tarasenko with 2 more games played

He has 2 points more than Joseph with 3 more games played.

Really not playing up to standards lately. I don't remember him going through a slump like this one.

On the other hand surely good to see Batherson back as a top offensive player on this team.

Saw someone tweet he has 2 pts in the last 8 games. Slump

you guys think im too hard or unfair on brady.

can you guys imagine the kind of shit (deservedly) Captain Karlsson, Alfredsson, Stone, Spezza would have gotten if they and their team played like Brady and Brady's team?

but brady gets coddled instead. and acts coddled.

I loved Karlsson, defended his ability at every turn but this revisionism is spoiling the player for me. Karlsson constantly got a free pass from this fan base, despite years of failure when they were expected to be a playoff team. You think Alfredsson got plastered when Ottawa was competing against Edmonton for last place in the league? Spezza became a bit of scapegoat after wanting out and Stone was never captain.

The fun part is that Brady has statistically surprised limits you’ve placed upon him. You are so bad faith it’s hard to engage with you on the topic of this player.

Lol seriously? Turning on Alfie, Brady or Karl ever is just unacceptable.

A good number of people supported the notion of trading Alfie for Craig Conroy.

The 2007 playoff run is what turned it all around as far as people's perception of him in ottawa.

Brady is acting like a spoiled brat. His post game press conference was the stuff of 225 pound babies.

Want to know why this team can’t play mature hockey - the Captain acts like a rich kid who isn’t getting his way and Timmy missed a scoring opportunity because he was Sads he missed a scoring chance d he was sulking when a loose puck came back to him he wasn’t ready. Grow the f*** up you two

Buckle down - stop acting like WJC players and start acting like NHL’ers. Control your emotions, this is why we suck. It’s on display Brady when you act like a kid who doesn’t get his dessert

Brady played great last night I thought, his post game was amateur

Brady is still the best forward taken in the 2018 draft. He is the quintessential power forward in the league. He leads the team in hits with 81. Parker Kelly is a distant second with 47. He has led our team in hits every year. Whenever the other teams take liberties with any of our players Brady is always there to answer the bell....because no one else on the team will. Brady leads in many ways. Slumps will come and go. And he is our leading goal scorer with 14 goals.

He's making $10.5M this year, it's not time for unquantifiable intangibles, it's time for results.

Why are you engaging then? A part from trying to school people?

There is no proof that he wants out.

It is reasonable to use basic pattern recognition to see that if the team fails to fix things next season, his NMC activates July 1st 2025, and that might present a cross roads for both sides if Brady, like many players before him, loses patience over a never ending rebuild.

That's not a sky-is-falling type Twitter hot-take. Our GM proudly announced two years ago that the rebuild was over. They failed to make the playoffs since then. Not only that, this season must be downright embarrassing. Being part of a losing organization, especially when you're a competitive person, is grating. I can't imagine what it is like when it is pro sports, and everything is on display.

I highly doubt the guy wants out, but another year of this and his NMC coming up might force the conversation between both sides. This has nothing to do with Senators fans being a certain way, any other organization in the league would face this same type of speculation that 8 years of no playoffs, and 3 years of a rebuilding failing after it was completed might lead to players wanting out. It's not exactly the hottest of hot takes.

He has 2 points in his last 8 games and the team has scored 25 goals in that same time...but it's because of everyone else that he's not getting points. Cool.
Would you prefer he was playing like Batherson who has 3G and 3 A in his last six games but is a minus 2 over the same period. Batherson took a bad penalty that was one of the main reasons that cost the team the game but it's OK because he scored.

Just watched his postgame and can't really understand how you came to your severe conclusion. I don't have a problem with what he said. If anything I think it's cool how honest Brady is when he could just stick to the hockey pro script.

I'd prefer he play like the captain of the team and the guy getting paid the highest salary this year. Sorry, I didn't realize that asking the guy to be better than the 7th best p/gp on the team was some outlandish f***ing take. I didn't realize that asking him to be better than 2p in his last 8gp while the team has gone 1-7 is so outrageous.

You guys love sewering every other player on the roster, the former coach and literally anyone except this guy and I just don't understand how a guy who has captained the team to many years of basement dwelling is immune to any amount of criticism.

But we’re not paying him to be an influencer or a personality, we’re paying him to be an NHL Captain. We need leadership not emotional Updates

He’s frustrated. Try being a Sens fan for 30 years. We get it, it’s not going anybody’s way. But give the coach some space to work Big-boy, start preaching the coaches message and not you’re emaional state

Not Brady's problem that guys like Stutzle and Kelly can't bury some great feeds from him. He played well last night and was good defensively.

I loved his game last night. I was surprised by his post game just because I liked Ottawa’s push back and overall energy.

I get Brady is frustrated, but he has to control himself post game. He can’t be chirping the fans and being overly emotional when they lose. He’s to up and down to be a model of cocnistency that you need in a Captain.

Timmy should be stripped of his A IMO

No he deserves his criticism but I find Tkachuk gets a disproportionate amount of it on this board because he is the captain and spokesperson for the group. He is certainly not the most skilled guy on the team but he plays harder than virtually all the other guys. He also is the guy on the PP that plants himself in front of the net to give guys like Norris Batherson and Stutzle great looks.
He may not be getting points right now but when was the last time he coughed up the puck that lead to a goal against or when has he taken a bad penalty? Stutzle , Batherson and Norris routinely make atrocious plays on defense but get relatively little flack.
Also when is the last time anybody went after Giroux Zub and Sanderson? Those guys have been bad for this rod trip but they are not called out at all.
