Might be time to have a serious conversation about Brady. Guy has let frustration get the best of him (but then nowhere to be found any time they play Florida).

He needs to 100% mature up, but I think Giroux isn’t enough to help him. Hopefully a competent coach could do the trick

When will Brady ask for a trade?
At this point would anyone be sad? Disappointed yes, but I’m more disappointed he hasn’t been the answer to our problems and instead wants to pick fights with the fan base over his useless coach

I think if Alfredsson spends more time with him he can help him with navigating the challenges of team leadership.

It's so easy to forget but Brady is right now the same age Alfredsson was when he first entered the league, let alone was made captain.

no otherwise i would be pushing for drake as captain too.

i take into account which players are most committed to winning and setting a good example.

when players are trash defensively in effort, when they whine and throw tantrums i don't consider them that committed to winning no matter the skill level.

they could be be McDavid and I wouldn't want them captain.

Zub as a captain is an interesting idea, maybe when he learns English better.
By your changing day to day evaluations that you seem to think are better than people who are actually around the players. At the practices in the weight room, in the meetings doing video. At team events. From people that actually have a resume in hockey.

Stutzle is a child that just moved to North America who plays a high risk high reward game. You thought he should be captain. You clearly have no idea how a dressing room works. Relationships experience and physicality all matter.

Zub as captain.... haha come on man. Great player he's not a captain in the NHL. Way more to leadership than you seem to comprehend.

They don't need a new captain but if they did its overwhelmingly obvious who that should be and if you have to think about it you're lost.

Is Brady not a child too?

Sometimes I see the the way Brady reacts to things and wonder, how would a 14 year old react?

And it's exactly how Brady reacted.

Being a great wedding guest and physical doesn't mean you automatically make a great leader or captain.

And yea Zub wouldn't work because the C is partly marketing based. That's how Brady got an NHL C in the first place without having done anything to earn it.

Marketing gimmick to sell hope in the future, jerseys and tickets.

And now were clearly paying for it.

That's true...but Brady also spent his life growing up around NHL rinks. With a father and uncle(s?) that were pros, and being in the atmosphere from birth, you would think he'd be a bit more advanced than most of his peers.

Your obsession to continually criticize Tkachuk, borders on the neurotic. Amazing that the "failings" of one player can be so detrimental to the team because in your mind guys like Norris , Stutzle, Batherson, Giroux Sanderson and Tarasenko rarely make mistakes. And of course Brady is the main reason why Korpisalo and Forsberg rank near the bottom in both GAA and save percentage.

I criticize everyone. Stutzle, Batherson, Chabot, even Karlsson, Alfredsson, and Stone when they would deserve it. And no one cares.

The problem is that some of you guys think that Brady is above reproach and mistakes. I called Stutzle a child and unfit to be a captain right now too, but its only out of bonds if you say that about Brady? Never seen a more coddled player on this board.

when someone does make any criticisms of clearly obvious and legitimate stuff you guys say "how could anyone criticize brady" and if they do its because they are a hater.

Brady is certainly not above reproach.

On the other hand, your constant complaining about him is grating and bound to cause pushback. Total silence when Brady has a good game as well.

The teams poor play has exacerbated the divides in the fan base. Everyone scrambling for scapegoats.

How anyone could criticize or dislike Brady is beyond me.
He 100% deserves criticism (he’s not the only one of course). How many instances can we point to this season where we question his maturity?

I don’t know about dislike but don’t think he’s doing himself favors by going after fan base himself. As I see it, Brady turned up the temperature on himself defending his Buffoon of a bff coach

I think if Alfredsson spends more time with him he can help him with navigating the challenges of team leadership.

I hope so, the trend seems to be negative but I hope he can turn this around.

I see a tweet that Brady was at the ufc with Stone. I can’t wait to see him go to Florida or Vegas after his contract

I’d rather have a young captain with strong natural leadership aptitudes who needs to learn defense under a competent coach than a captain with strong defensive abilities who needs to develop leadership abilities. Leadership is much harder to learn.

The fact that Brady still needs to figure out defense in his 6th year isn’t a sign he needs to be stripped of the C, it’s a sign he needs a new coach.

Terrible look for a fan right here. We don’t really need or want this stuff here
lol so Brady is above criticism…got it. This fan base is a joke with how much everyone wants to coddle their star players

If you’re going to call me out on being a terrible fan, better back it up with more substance. Many of us have provided enough examples to question Brady’s leadership.

Oh now it’s apparently a ‘terrible look’ as a fan to criticize Brady.

You have to dig pretty deep to find a way to blame or include Brady in the blame for where this team is right now.

Does Brady let his emotions get the best of him from time to time yes.. He isn't perfect . He has lapses. But he is far from the reason for where we are now.

I like Brady. I'm glad he plays here. I am happy to criticize his play periodically.

Look no further than Pierre Dorion if you want to know how we got here. There are a boatload of decisions from 2017 on that prove how over his head he was and we have all the fruits of his labor.

I’ll speak for myself but I’m not saying it is because of Brady we’re here. I’ve been vocal form the get-go of the piss poor job Pierre Dorion and DJ Smith have done, and the next move is to get DJ Smtih out.

That said, Brady is sure as shit not helping and in fact I see a regression in his maturity and dealing with regular season challenges. There are plenty of imperfect players who aren’t calling out the fans for booing their team while their play is piss poor or publicly defending a coach from scrutiny who hasn’t done shit compared to his peers for now a 5th season in a row.

He needs to grow up fast, because when this team finally gets going, we need him to be able to put the team on his back, not lose his composure all the time because some scrub gets under his skin

Yep I’d be pissed as well if a goalie took out my feet, tried a poke check that wasn’t going anywhere in the direction of the puck, just at my far side skate, which sent me flying into the boards.
If he scored doesn’t matter at that point, I’m still angry.
