Being a little baby about the fans and giving the other Tkachuk a free pass to potentially injure our goalie.
Again. He had 7 shots last night. The rest of the team had 13.
He is not part of the problem. It’s a difficult situation for both brothers playing against each other in their styles. He handled it fine. Other guys need to step up.

Brady always shoots a lot doesn't mean he had a good game.

I believe it was 9 minutes left that he took a unnecessary completely emotional and selfish crosscheck penalty while we were on the power play. We score there and we are back in. But after that penalty no hope.

Like was he even trying to win the game at that point?

These guys are the opposite of pesky. They unravel hard and fast, and Brady is the leader in that regard.

Not saying he's the problem, just that we need more good players than Brady to take the pressure off him. He is not handling it well.

The pressure of losing.

Get a good coach, mentor that will teach this young team how to be professionals.

DJ Smith is a bro dude that let's these kids roam free. They need a methodical tactician that is fair and is more of a teacher than a friend. Get an assistant that is the buddy buddy type but the coach needs to be a good x's and o's type that can reverse the terrible habits that this team can't shake off and isn't taught.

Totally agree. But with how these guys play I find it hard to believe that we get a new coach and it will suddenly be roses.

When the new coach comes in and if he demands a strict defensive approach I'm not sure a lot of our guys will be able to transition, even if they want to.

If Matthew is going to act that way and get a free pass, it’s a big problem.

That's okay. Transition period will take some time. The sooner the better. Status quo will just make it harder to shake off the bad thats been here since DJ took over.

We need a few other guys who like to get into it. Not enforcers, guys like Ostapchuk in our system maybe.

Guys who can play but don’t mind fighting, maybe even like it like Brady does. I really don’t expect Brady to ever get into it with his big brother, who he loves and idolizes, and that’s besides mom forbidding them fighting. It’s just unnatural for him, you can see it.

We need other guys to fill in for him with Matthew in these games because it’s his Achilles heel.

I fully understand the "no fighting family" agreement, but as part of that, there should also be an understanding that they will just go out, keep their heads down, and play.

Instead, Matthew is screaming at the bench that our best, non-fighting players are "done" and goads Jake Sanderson into dropping the gloves.

Brady got absolutely bullied and embarrassed by his big brother last night. I wonder if he'll be back in Florida cheering them on in the playoffs come April...

Yep, really bad look for him last night amidst an already embarrassing performance for the team.

He will have free time on his hands to do so if he pleases...what a circus this team is.

I agree this is a problem.

Matthew is a good pest.
Brady is a good anti-pest.

But Matthew is literally the only pest in the league he can't fight. In the last two games, Brady went after the Panthers goalie in revenge, but he needs to do more. If Matthew is going to act like that Brady has to fight him. Or at least challenge him, force him to back down from the fight (let's be honest, Matthew wants to part of Brady, brother or not). Matthew ducking a challenge changes the whole dynamic of the game.

Last night went off the rails when MacEwen felt like he had to go after Matthew because Brady couldn't.

Don't care about Brady needing to act like a enforcer or sending a message. He is not paid to do that. He is paid to be our best forward.

Brady just needs to stop leading the team in bad habits. He needs to stop backchecking with his back straight. He needs to stop cheating in the defensive zone so he can get breaks.

Otherwise it is a free pass for the whole team that they can do that.

Dude plays like he is 60 goal 110 point ovechkin, able to come in on a break and snipe it every time. When in reality it's a logo shot.

He needs to sacrifice trying to be PPG because it comes at the cost of the team.

I feel Brady is trying too hard to be this bad-ass superstar leader, which he just isn't

I knew before the season that this Team will not make the playoffs, but even I didn't expect us to be this bad!

This leadership core is overrated and I still stand by that firmly. till they prove me wrong, and it will start with Brady

The hype, the attention and the excuses has gotten way out of control.

That is not going to happen. The hype has gotten into his head. He needs his points!

Brady is the leader of this team, he has taken upon himself to stand up for his teammates physically as well. He can’t just turn that off because it’s his brother. I’m sure he doesn’t want to but Matthew keeps pushing and he doesn’t push back, that’s a problem. He is out there grabbing everyone but his brother, while Matthew keeps poking.

Matthew went and picked his spot for a second consecutive game. What happens if Sanderson an inexperienced fighter gets hurt in that fight. Matthew even tried to get him to take off his helmet for f*** sakes, it’s garbage to look the other way.

Well Kastelic was supposed to be one of those,

Kelly is albeit he's not a great fighter by any means. Hamonic has been that guy in the past, not sure he's up to it anymore

So ideally we have MacEwen, Kastelic, Kelly and Hamonic to at the very least provide a bit of pack mentality.

I mean, one response would be for Brady to grab Barkov and pound him into next week if Mathew wants to play games.

I don't care who nails Matthew. Just do it. He's a weasel.

Do it early in the game as well to get him off the ice.

True, though I'm sure Fla has no interest in him fighting. Make it Montour then, point is grab someone important they don't want involved in that stuff
I kind of agree, but then, Brady is off the ice for 2+5+10. We need him on the ice.

In both games, Brady took a run at their goalie so he could start a fight without the instigator. But doing it that way makes it harder to pick his spot.

Brady will go up against anyone, I don't think Barkov has a single fight in his entire career, sure he's a big strong guy but idk if that's something he's skilled at.

Probably right. Barkov is an imposing dude nonetheless.

Brady is a good player, and I would rather have him on my team then someone else's. He has all the makings to be a great captain.

Right now though, he is definitely rough around the edges when it comes to his ability to control his emotions and lead professionally. It will come in time, but he needs a coach and a mentor to help him develop those natural leadership abilities. He has neither.

Brady refusing to go after his brother while Matthew is literally starting a fight with our goalie at center ice is embarrassing.

He's our captain and a tough dude and he's letting the other teams super pest just get right in our goalies face and slashing him.

I get not wanting Brady to fight scrubs, but 100 point players starting shit with our goalies? That's exactly who we want him to fight.

As captain, it's super embarrassing.
