Their players felt it was deserved, our players don't feel it's deserved. That's the only reason this is a story.
Booing happens when a team is playing bad, just like cheering happens when a team is playing well.
The only people coming off as entitled in this situation are the senators players.
This is a paid professionals sports league. Who pays? Well television and radio sponsors do, social media, corporations, pay-per-view television rights, and last but not least the paying fan base.
There wouldn't be a league without the fans let's face it. If I purchase a new car and there are continuous problems with the vehicle then the dealership from where I bought the car from is going to hear about and it may not be very pleasant if the attitude and service level of the dealer is not sufficient.
While the NHL is not like buying a new car, it is similar on where you expect results. The occasional screw up is tolerated but no one is going to drive a car that continuously is non-productive right?
Button line, fans do have the right to voice their displeasure as long as it is not based on racial or projected bigotry.
