Nice to see Brady at the games where he should be supporting his brother. There is no where else in the world he should be right now.
Also Brady is learning a lot from this experience about what the NHL playoffs are all about and what it takes. This will only pay dividends when the Sens make the playoffs.
Can you imagine how hungry Brady is getting?? The brothers are super competitive, and watching Matthew get to the finals you just know Brady is feeling the burning desire.

I agree, it’s great for him to be experiencing this first hand.

If I were filthy rich like Brady is, I'd be jet setting to more than just my brother's luxury box. I'd be at all the sports events I could make it to. Courtside at the Lakers game? Hell ya. Next week I'm at Wrigley Field using my celebrity clout to get in the broadcast booth and sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame! Hard to blame these guys for leaning in to this exclusive opportunity we can all only dream of.

Doubt Brady or Matt has the clout to get courtside at a Lakers game (without paying for the privilege, I mean).

First Brady's cheering on a division rival, and now he's going on Toronto radio to talk about how he's cheering on a division rival?

If Daniel Alfredsson had done this in the spring of 2001, there would have been a full scale referendum in the city of Ottawa about whether he should be traded for Gary Roberts' 3rd cousin!

No.

People need to go outside and enjoy the impending summer.

Imagine following this online and griping about what one brother should do in regards to the other.

What a time we live in….

Your sarcasm detector must be broken.

Complaining about Tkachuk going to Panthers games is every bit as stupid as thinking that going to Panthers games will make him "hungry" next year.

That is an interesting thought though. If it were the Leafs in the early 2000's instead of the 2023 Panthers, and I saw something like that from Alfie or another player, I'd be calling for him to be dealt and gtfo immediately.

Panthers aren’t the leafs or habs, and if it was Alfies brothers then what.

Obviously. I've said many times I don't think what Brady is doing is anything to worry about, at all. But that was an interesting thought from DaveMatthew about the potential of what that would have looked like if it were Alfie and the Leafs when our rivalry was alive. I gave my thoughts on what I would think of Alfie doing it if it were his brother on the Leafs during that 2000-2005 period... gtfo, don't care who you are.

Vastly different circumstances involved there. Those teams were competitive with a rival and losing to them in the playoffs, not rebuilding squads yet to find their wings and be competitive.

He's cheering his older brother, I doubt most rational people would have any issues with that.

First, Mathew plays for Florida not Toronto so most people don't care if at all, there is no huge rivalry just yet & may never get as big. Second, Alfredsson didn't have a brother playing in the NHL so what is even the point, his brother did come to games & cheer on Daniel though many times & was interviewed on radio a couple of times.

Third, this is just the media trying to create a controversy for clicks & views where one doesn't exist which is typical & transparent. Fourth, the vast majority of people don't give a crap about this in May with Ottawa out of the playoffs when the weather is nice & people are getting their lawns & cottages ready for a summer of BBQs. To make it more than it is, is just click bait & nonsence.

Of course, but what is the point of anything discussed here? Pretty much nothing. The dog days of summer.

And you're right, there will never be as big of a rivalry with Florida as there used to be with Toronto. Proximity and their fan base just basically rules that out ever being possible.

what are you talking about, no one in the media cares that he's cheering for the panthers and his brother and there are maybe 2 or 3 posters who do.

and the post you seem to be quoting was pure sarcasm.

i have never seen a fanbase so touchy about a player as they are with Brady.

Brady needs to be more like his brother though and I hope he is learning that because he didn't last year. Mathew has been +86 the last two years, a large part because of his own play.

Brady has not had single + season, a large part because of his own lack of defensive play.

If your big money first line can't be a plus, it puts the whole organization at a disadvantage. Forget about dominating the playoffs, you'll never get to them.

Matthew played on a team that won their division last year. Brady has never played on a playoff team. You can't point to +/- as much of an indicator of anything other than that.

Brady has played with the absolute best linemates available since he was a rookie, and recently he's been playing with all star level players. Yet still a minus.

Derrick Brassard or Parker Kelly aren't the reasons Brady is a minus, it's his own play. He is near 400 games now, the excuses need to stop.

+/- isn't exactly the best way to look at it, considering our terrible goaltending last year and overall lack of organization in the defensive end.

Tkachuk isn't a top-end defensive player, but he had a 56.30 CF% and 56.57xGF% last year at 5v5. This team generates a lot more chances than it gives up when he's on the ice. He was 19th in the league in CF% amongst forwards who played >1000 minutes.

His brother was first, so you are right about him being better, though.

Let’s be honest, Mathew is the better Tkachuk and has been even in his early days with the Flames.

Brady received the green light from our soft minded players coach to do whatever he pleases so blowing the defensive zone and cherry-picking every shift is not a recipe for success.

Plus minus haha

Alfredsson had two minus seasons in his career and Stone has had one.

Total fluke right haha

Plus minus when you're lining up with the teams best centers, wingers, and defenceman matters. And Brady holds all those guys back with his defensive play,

The cherry picking probably benefits their offensive game, but hurts the overall 5 on 5 game, and guess what's our biggest weakness that is keeping us from success?
