Your definition of legendary is hilarious. Alcoholism is not legendary and drinking degenerately as a team captain when you haven't made the playoffs yet is embarrassing. You call that legendary 😂
How was that alcoholism? He's is a multi-millionaire, partying in the off-season and you equate that to him being an alcoholic? How bitter can one person be?

People don't seem to understand he is shaking it with the best golfer on the planet who just won a major. Does no one here golf or follow the sport? JFC. It's unbelievable.
I didn't know Sheffler and Rahm were there as well :)

Hockey players have been partying for generations, read up what Bobby Orr & Esposito used to do, read up what Gretsky & Messier used to do, read up what the Canadians & Lafleur used to do, they have all done it & there have been cases before of brothers supporting brothers in the NHL. The HOF is full of guys who partyed hard after winning games, it's also why the NHLPA has an abuse program for those who can't stop or control it.
The Leafs don't do it because ... well ...they never win anything

I'm not sure exactly what Brady is doing that offends so many, lots of people drink & like to party, go to any bar during the weekend or sporting event, people drink at these things. And when their team wins they have fun, as long as they are responsible & rich guys can afford to pay for taxis or someone else to drive them around. Most won't even see this or hear about it, I would not have if I didn't come on here. Soon we will have self driving cars to drive drunks around.

Yeah he's a 23 year old having fun. Most people would be doing the same thing given the opportunity.

My only beef is with it all being posted on social media. But that's not a Brady thing, that's a lot of people. Why not just enjoy yourself and keep it private? Don't give the whiners any ammunition.

I think the point was that its not that Brady is partying it's more the contrast of how Alfie, Karlsson and the previous Captains would be treated if they acted like that. Standards for carrying the C and how that reflected on the Ottawa Senators were much higher for them rightly or wrongly.

I mean pretty sure one of these legendary clips of the boys came a week or two before the team badly choked to some of the worst teams in the league and ruined a shot at the playoffs that was right there. If it that was Karlsson or Alfredsson and their team does anyone really think they would be treated like Brady and his team?

But whatever personalities are different and people like to have fun different. Only wins matter and no one would care if Brady was partying every night if we won. I don't think it's a bad look if Brady backchecked lol.

There was no rat play.

Matthew Tkachuk levelled DeBrincat with a clean hit.

We can't have it both ways.

We can't say it was a rat play and also ask why players have to defend themselves from a clean hit.
For what its worth, I acknowledge that hit was clean by the books. Issue is, MTkachuk is still a rat and crosses the line throughout the game, and when a player like that hits someone like Cat, you have to have a response. If one of our guys hit Barkov or any of their stars, MTkachuk is going to do something about it asap.

Your takes are just so bad. Goofy stuff? Drinking with the pga champ out of the trophy at his brother's platoff game.... When his teams out... That's legendary. You want guys like that on your team. Not nerds like Marner who go home and game and have no friends.
I agree with most of this, but that last part is high school nonsense. Lots of professional athletes are the latter and blend in just fine. Video Games are one of the biggest attractions out there for young people. DeBrincat and Chychrun cuddling under the covers just recently apparently lol. I was all about team bonding, but there's lots of ways to do that other than mass alcohol themed social events that only extroverts enjoy.

Video games and alcohol go together better than Thelma and Louise.

Let them Romanticize. What do they know about true leadership LOL

Let their imaginations run wild believing how Brady would dominate the playoffs, when he couldn't even beat Teams like Chicago, Vancouver and Calgary to make the WC spot

Luckily we have Stutzle, Giroux and hopefully now Chychrun to help us finally get into the playoffs

Thank you for illustrating that you have absolutely no clue what leadership is. Blaming one player in a team sport is the definition of having no leadership skills. How many small players do you see dominating the playoffs right now. Tkachuk is built for it you'd have to be hockey illiterate to not see it especially with the hockey that is being played night in and night out. There are almost no small players on the teams that are left. Players that are getting inside to the middle of the ice are thriving. Teams with big heavy D cores that can also move the puck are the ones that are left.

Getting drunk and acting like a fool is not legendary or commendable. Brady needs to quit acting like a foolish frat kid and take being a captain seriously. Playoffs are a must next season.
Say what?

Can’t argue with that. Brady has been part of some tight rooms and playoff runs in Calgary and now Florida.

Hopefully he’s part of one in Ottawa at some point soon.

Pretty sure Marner is tight with the Tkachuk brothers. Bet they game a lot together.
He’s not part of either room. Pretty sure he was partying with a winning golfer…..

Right. Ottawa and Florida were neck and neck down the stretch. Ottawa fizzled out, whereas Matthew Tkachuk got his team into the playoffs and is one game away from the SCF. Meanwhile, Brady is partying with a winning golfer in the Panthers’ luxury suites.

I don’t care what players do in the off-season. He could park himself in the basement of the Cabin (if it still existed) like Spezza and McGrattan used to do. Whatever.

Just start winning some playoff games.

I mean, I can’t argue with wanting to make the playoffs, and win when we’re there.

Not sure Brady has to feel bad this off season though. I doubt any fan feels worse than he did about coming pretty close this year, and he and the boys will be hungry next year for the first time.

The expectations next season will be to get the Sens to the Dance, no doubt.

For now we can probably let him enjoy himself with his friends and family.

What happened to this Brady?
Should have added on the condition that they don't make it to the conference finals.
Big deal .. its his brother and I'm sure he wants to support him.

Nice to see Brady at the games where he should be supporting his brother. There is no where else in the world he should be right now.
Also Brady is learning a lot from this experience about what the NHL playoffs are all about and what it takes. This will only pay dividends when the Sens make the playoffs.

The idea that some people think Brady’s presence at these games would do anything but make him all the more hungry to do it himself blows my mind.

Clearly don’t understand either supportive families or competitive drive within them.

Come on man. We're all watching the same games here. Wouldn't say I'm learning about what it takes.

Come on man, you aren't a player in the NHL. He will learn a lot from this experience.
Are you at the games? In the room? Are you having the conversations that Brady is having with Matthew's team mates etc....?? No.
