I agree, it’d be fun to see Brady tune up Matthew.

Batherson isn’t a guy I want fighting but ultimately it’s having a response that matters. I’m sure uncle Dennis showed him a pointer or two.

After the Cat incident Sanderson immediately came in and dropped the gloves with Matthew (totally ineffective and not ideal but the intent was there), then Bath dropped the gloves with him, after those situations DeBrincat himself challenged Matthew (who said no).

Meanwhile Brady got tossed for tuning up Staal as a second altercation.

Brown also tried to go with Gudas and Kastelic with Smith.

The sens aren’t the leafs. They did respond when Matthew was his rat self. While I’d love to get even tougher, adding a Reaves or something, this is a non issue for our team IMO.
And we still have guys like Boucher and Ostapchuk to add to the roster who are aggressive players.

Live & let live. Those guys also never had a brother playing on another team which is why they never did. He's supporting his brother, I don't see how it hurts anything. Everybody wants to rule the world.
People don't seem to understand he is shaking it with the best golfer on the planet who just won a major. Does no one here golf or follow the sport? JFC. It's unbelievable.

Your takes are just so bad. Goofy stuff? Drinking with the pga champ out of the trophy at his brother's platoff game.... When his teams out... That's legendary. You want guys like that on your team. Not nerds like Marner who go home and game and have no friends.
Your definition of legendary is hilarious. Alcoholism is not legendary and drinking degenerately as a team captain when you haven't made the playoffs yet is embarrassing. You call that legendary 😂

You should probably follow a different sport this one ain't it. You clearly do not have any idea about being a hockey player or being a team guy. Partying isn't alcoholism first of all. Having drinks and spending time with your teammates brings teams together. There is a time for certain things and this is the offseason.

Guarantee Brady being Brady is one reason guys are starting to want to come to Ottawa.

Getting drunk and acting like a fool is not legendary or commendable. Brady needs to quit acting like a foolish frat kid and take being a captain seriously. Playoffs are a must next season.

A tight room is important for team succes - says every pro hockey player, coach and GM

A tight room isn’t important for team success- says half dozen HFSens experts
Tight room didn't stop them from all the years of giveaways in the dzone, missed assignments, weak entries, 0 ability to cycle the puck and maintain possession, etc.

I think there’s only two things Brady has ever done to really upset me.

Trying to fight a goalie and getting his skates off the ice and in the air while he’s wrestling someone to the ground.

Drinking out of a trophy given to you by the trophy winner is absolutely nothing to complain or worry about.

Can’t argue with that. Brady has been part of some tight rooms and playoff runs in Calgary and now Florida.

Hopefully he’s part of one in Ottawa at some point soon.

Pretty sure Marner is tight with the Tkachuk brothers. Bet they game a lot together.

There was no rat play.

Matthew Tkachuk levelled DeBrincat with a clean hit.

We can't have it both ways.

We can't say it was a rat play and also ask why players have to defend themselves from a clean hit.

Personally, I love the personality that Brady shows. I think it's great. He just has a magnetic personality. He's 23 years old, living the f***ing dream. I'm not sure I'd of made it to 25 in the same circumstances.

His brothers in a playoff run. He can fly where he wants, get a ticket to whatever game he wants, hang with whoever he wants....go for it.

I don’t know what you’re talking about with « both ways ». I have no problem with Matthew having to defend himself there.

I also don’t think there’s a single era of hockey where a 5’7 star forward gets blasted by a huge hit and there isn’t an immediate response from their team.

I agree the hit was clean, Matthew is nonetheless a rat. My comment is more directed at our team’s response to this type of situation which is usually (not always, see Batherson injury, but usually) satisfactory and more specifically to Brady’s response which is usually A+.

Well.....let's wait and see what Brady actually does in the playoffs before we crucify him or anoint him the next jesus.

Can tell you one thing, if I was in the NHL and my brother was still in the playoffs, I’d be at every single game and I’d be having a lot of fun while being there.

What Brady is doing is completly fine.

I liked our response but I'm in the camp of a player shouldn't have to take on all comers because of a big, clean hit. There didn't need to be a response on that play. On the Batherson play, 100% there needed to be a response.
