Kleven is a big man dubbed the K-Train for a reason. He doesn’t need to be an enforcer, he needs to hit to hurt, and he does. He’s also a big boy who will be able to back it up.

I also don’t think Kleven is a few years away at all, but we’ll get a better idea at the end of the season. He came on strong development wise this year and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him make the team sooner than later.

Ostapchuk also Knocked out that 6’9” dude and can obviously chuck ‘em. We’ll be fine once we have a few of these guys graduate who can also play the game In my opinion, not to mention Boucher as well.

I have no interest in plugs in the team who are here just to skate around and look mean. Reaves and Lucic type guys have expired.

We‘re pretty lucky to have three big guys on the team right now who will willingly fight, when compared to other teams.
So, find another Carkner to me means a guy that can make sure guys don't step out of line. Kleven might be that, or he might be like Volchenkov, a guy that hit to hurt but wasn't the guy that stood up for his teammates the way Neil, or Carkner did.

I think we need to be cautious about penciling in Kleven and Ostapchuk, I have been pumping both guys tires since we drafted them, but both were and are longer term projects, not sure things imo.

I don’t think ‘we’ need to worry at all. I have also been a vocal fan since they were drafted.

The team has been pretty great at bringing guys up when their ready, so when I say that I think he’ll be up sooner than later, I mean that I think it will be because he’s ready.

Carkner doesn’t exist in todays NHL. Kleven is apparently a player that plays mean, Volchenkov wasn’t that, he was a big hitter and shot blocker who wasn’t overly aggressive or mean. We’ll see what Kleven is, but I suspect he’ll slot somewhere in the middle.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Mrs_NyQuil was telling me that Andy Scott (Chychrun's agent) was saying how Ottawa is a destination that players want to go to now, and that a big reason for that was Brady Tkachuk.

I think it's in one of the Team 1200 interviews.
What? Has no one informed these players of the weather here and the poor nightlife?

I'm still sore we didn't draft Zadina 😁

That's actually refreshing to hear.

You and me both.

That’s why my opinions on the draft should just be skipped over.
I was just kidding

I actually never have opinions on draft prospects. I catch the odd 67s game and watch the world Juniors and that's about it.

I don't have the time to invest to develop informed opinions

Neither do I, but will I let that stop me?

Hell no!

Sometimes I like to root for the guys with interesting names, like when I watch horse racing.

Will Smith is my current champ.

Brady has always been an elite physical player though before I thought it was more his willingness to engage physically rather than big hits.

But holy f*** is he absolutely blowing up guys now. f***ing scary.

It's hilarious to see defenceman shoulder check into giving him the puck when he is bearing down.

Tkachuk is a great power forward & player who will only get better & he can do everything well, but the one thing he is becoming elite at is leading or carrying his team to victory & dominating physically.

Yeah i see him down low on a 50/50 or even what should be a 30/70 puck and i already think we have possession. He's really helping his linemates by making sure they always have the option to shovel the puck behind the net if they get in trouble with it. Brady will win it back and keep the play going.

What a dweeb, crocs are so lame.

I want to see a video of Stu shopping and calling the croc wearers on the roster peasants
