Brady looks to have added some quickness. His first couple of steps are noticeable when changing directions or when he is racing for loose pucks down low.
I thought last season was when I noticed how fast he's gotten. The thing that seems to have improved the most this season is his shot. He can absolutely rip it now. I almost want to say he's got the best shot on the team right now, which is shocking considering we have Norris and Cat. Even Pinto is low-key up there.

Batherson and Tkachuk are like the perfect match!! Adding Stutzle to that line just adds extra flair on top!

The only thing I want now is to see Pinto center Cat and Giroux for a few games. I firmly believe that will work better than Norris being there

He is getting a sneaky release like that shot on his breakaway against the Bruins.

He isn't up there with Norris or the Cat though, or even Batherson.

And Pinto's shot is not low key - he has one of the best shots on the team.

having Stutzle and Batherson play keepaway with Brady there to win any loose pucks is insane.

Tkachuk did it all tonight, won board battles, scored 2 goals, made some great plays at both ends of the ice & he can carry the puck as well as anyone, he even got a breakaway pass by Sanderson & scored a goal. He continues to be one of the best players on this team & is tied with Batherson for leading scorer.

My biggest take away from Brady after the last game was that this is a leader that's changed from a boy into a man.

Listen I'm all for scoring goals and losing your mind in the celebration afterwards. It's emotion in sport at its finest and purest.

But Brady is learning how to be a true captain and pro by not exploding with raw emotions everytime he scores a goal anymore. He's staying even keeled and laser focused immediately after scoring, and hes not celebrating or overcome with emotion from scoring like he was in his first couple years anymore.

He knows the jobs not done until the buzzar sounds, and the game is over. The celebration comes at that point.

So you're the guy with the Norris voodoo doll.

I imagine this is from play early on this season as opposed to how you view these players outside of that 5 game sample.

For this season's play I'd have Chabot lower even though I love him, and Forsberg higher.

1. Tkachuk
2. Batherson
3. Zub
4. Stutzle
5. Pinto
6. Forsberg
7. Sanderson
8. Brannstrom
9. Norris
10. Chabot
11. Giroux
12. Debrincat
13. Motte
14. Kastelic
15. Joseph
16. Hamonic/Holden
17. Kelly

I wouldn't say anyone from the group has been bad though. Kelly and Hamonic/Holden have done their jobs and that's good enough when your "worst" players are still doing a very fine job. Even Motte is having a great start to the season.

One guy I think could do a better job with his all around play is Joseph. Not expecting him to have amazing production but I feel like he's been very inconsistent defensively.

I used to cringe watching Brady carry the puck, he looks so much more confident with the puck on his stick. This is a new Brady, I am here for it.

Bumping this to give some love to the most consistent player on this team.

He has been fantastic all season and almost helped get us to OT both games in FLA and then again last night led the charge.

He is now tied for 9th in league scoring with 15 points in 10 games (at least a game in hand on everyone above him) and is creating goals every which way now. He is scoring from distance, off the rush, rebounds, etc...his game has come so far offensively since he was drafted it is crazy.

He leads the Senators by 4 points with Batherson next at 11 in 10 games while also being the toughest SOB around.

I am so happy they made him Captain and regardless of how the rest of this season goes I feel confident this guy is the leader we need to becoming consistent contenders.

He's definitely been producing beyond expectations but his defensive play has resulted in some very tough moments for this team. I'm willing to accept that defense, more than offense, is a team structure but he's been beaten badly on a few plays, been lost and spinning around in the defensive zone or just straight up didn't know what to do on too many plays this year. I'd trade some of his extra offense in for more responsibility on the other side of the puck.

What i am loving is that he barely falls anymore and getting faster and more agile. its turning him into a legit threat off the rush, much fewer turnovers as well. Yea d could use some work but you can say that for the whole team.

All that work in the gym paying off.
