I actually think it's the opposite. Maybe you're right when he's stationary and facing stationary contact. But when he's moving or in open ice he gets eaten up quick.

The less Brady has the puck the better, possessing the puck isn't really his game. Which is why I think the top line worked so well last game. With Stutzle and Batherson he barely has to touch the puck.

Create chaos, quick one touch passes and get open. Profit.

Maybe in open ice sure but when he's in the corners or skating along the boards no one is getting him off the puck.

Unbelievable game. Played so big and, honestly, along the boards between him and a physical Drake, they are going to come out with the puck. Twice they did it on Drake and Timmy goals, and it will happen a lot. Still severely underrated for his niftiness and visions (suprised Timmy late in the 3rd with what would hav been an open net).

This is why he remains at the top of the payroll. Does . It . All.
And, is looking to do it all off the ice. The post game interview on the ice was pretty epic for a young captain. Perfect face for this embattled team and fanbase. I’m sure we all feel like creating some space for ourselves in the league again finally.

The man is 6 foot 4. When that puck rims around the boards behind the net and he picks it up, he leans over. He's got that big ass and frame and 6+ feet of stick between him and the defender. He did that several times the other night. Then he has the puck until he dishes it. The other two will get better at reading that and finding quiet zones

He has terrific vision in the O Zone especially down low. When this team cycles its at its best and he's really good at it. I don't sgree with the statement the less he has the puck the better. How many goals last game came from behind the net?... 3. That's where he always has the puck.

Most unbiased observers of BT would recognize he has very good vision and play making ability. And he's only going to get better.

It is ridiculous to suggest the team is better when Brady touches the puck less. He is a puck possession guy with great hockey hockey sense and passing ability. He creates so much offense for others with his skill and ability to create space. I still can't be believe there are posters who still downplay this guy. It is baffling.

Pronman, an early detractor, has him #1 in his 2018 redrafted article .

I thought that the game against Boston was one of his best (at least in recent memory). He won a lot of puck battles and was able to feed some nice passes to his line mates, thus creating good scoring chances &/or goals. All round good game from him.

More than most guys, I think a big, rocking crowd is a huge motivating factor for Brady. He is like a conductor of rambunctious energy.

That's pretty wild, coming from Pronman. I think some of Brady's biggest fans wouldn't have him #1, and most wouldnt have him in a clear tier above Svechnikov, Dahlin & Hughes. Big praise.

A cording to Pronman we now have two #1OA picks despite never winning the lottery. Epic :)

I totally agree he has good vision in the offensive zone, I actually think its his most skilled offensive trait. That's why the turnovers he can make are so frustrating. They are completely avoidable and simply lapses in discipline and concentration.

And the less he has the puck the better because his vision shines when he makes quick one touch passes or when he moves it quickly after winning the puck.

Holding on to the puck and making plays isn't his game. Maybe he will evolve this aspect but right now he has trouble stickhandling and moving at the same time and until that is resolved it is better if he moves it quick, especially when on a line with Stutzle and Batherson.

If he was good holding the puck he would be playing like Draisaitl or Rantanen with his vision and size.

Batherson was easily our best forward tonight, but no question Brady was the best forward against Boston.

Yeah, I think it was pretty obvious myself.

Not only was Drake the most dynamic offensively, but he was hitting everything in sight.

Brady still had a good game obviously.

His skating and balance looks a lot better this year. He isn't falling down as much as he used to.

Honestly even if he becomes above average at it we're in for a treat. Which is very likely.

Brady looks to have added some quickness. His first couple of steps are noticeable when changing directions or when he is racing for loose pucks down low.

This dude is beasting right now. He is taking over the offensive zone below the hashmarks.

His best play yesterday though was making sure he got the puck out of the zone on the far boards. He took on the winger, won the puck then took on the D and just willed the puck out of the zone. This was after the Senators had struggled to get the puck out for large stretches in the 1st period - tremendous play.

Timmy went on a 2-1 with Batherson and just missed setting him up for a tap in.
