Tkachuk should hit 50 pts this week & great to see Norris hit 30 goals in the last game. Could be too late in the season at this point but they need to get Batherson going again too. Those three should have a great yr next season if they can hopefully all stay healthy could be ne of the best lines in the league.

just that no one can here can relate to Brady's upbringing.

to me the regular joe citizen would more be guys like Alfie and Karlsson who came from nothing and made sacrifices that many of us regular joe blow citizens have to make to chase our dreams.

vs Brady who grew up completely alienated from that experience.
What do you mean no one here can relate to Brady's upbringing? Why, because his Dad was a famous sports figure that made lots of money??? It seems regardless of the fame and money Brady was brought up to be a decent, respectful, hard working guy who can relate well to all types of people including kids. He seems to have a genuine concern for all people and is not a self centered arrogant pr**k like so many athletes; regardless of their upbringing.

If you wanna predict a man's character, look at his mother's(if she's in his life). Brady's mother seems like a remarkable person who exudes a lot of high qualities and affection for her boys. They always call her the king of the house or allude to her being the one who runs the home, and those are the moms that create great sons irregardless of the family's socioeconomic circumstances.

I mean that no average joe citizen/kid can relate to being born to hockey royalty with unlimited resources and knowledge available to reach your dreams.

If its something we're gonna discount Alfie and Karlsson from it seems a little weird considering the circumstances.

anyway I don't even know wtf we're talking about

You should, since you started the conversation, and no one agreed with you.

One of the things Brady has always said about his dad’s advice, was to treat everyone in the building with respect and kindness from the GM to the stick boy. Further, he taught the boys to be team players first and foremost. To me it looks like Brady takes being the team captain and face of the team very seriously, which is great to see in a young man.

Looks like Zub is at it again of course, but it turns out that even some rich people can raise quality children. Who knew? Lol

i just get a lil annoyed when people randomly start trashing ex sens players when they are gone. Alfie, Karlsson, Spezza, Stone, Zibanejad etc

happens a lot here

Yeah, Bath has been just a hair off since returning, it'll be nice to see his sights back to normal.

I played some ball hockey with Varada back in the day. Apparently his agent wasnt too happy that he would play with the kids cuz he might get hurt and have his contract voided lol

Totally understand. I just get a lil annoyed when people randomly start trashing current Sens players when they are here.

Jokes aside, it was you who was trying to disparage Brady as being a silver spoon brat while portraying Alfie and EK as having grown up on the streets of Compton for whatever reason.

You’re all over the place with your arguments and defensiveness. The fanbase loves Brady and that seems to strike a nerve with you.

It sucks that you can’t simply embrace the new captain of the team. You’ll be doing your thing in here for at least the next 7 years… Might as well pace yourself.

It's not a joke I think a lot of you genuinely think I don't like Brady. I don't randomly trash Brady. I'm complimentary when he's doing good things and I'm critical when he is doing bad things. Like I am for any other player on this team.

You guys have this weird thing where you try to pretend he's perfect when he clearly has some pretty big things to work on still.

You guys also seem to attribute some pretty weird shit to Brady to hype him up as well.

Like are we really gonna pretend that Brady is the first Ottawa senators to play street hockey with kids? or that doing so has some deep symbolization for how much of a better leader and everyday person Brady is compared to Alfie and EK?

Stuff like that and the insistence that the player doesn't have flaws and calling out anyone who wants to discuss these flaws is some weird cult like shit.

And I say this as someone who is a disciple in the church of Alfie, so I understand it. But can we wait until Brady actually does some legendary shit like Alfredsson and Karlsson before we start erecting his statue?

The topic of Brady here is very interesting from a sociological perspective. I don't think we've ever had a player get so much praise for having done so little.

Well, I suppose there is the small matter of having led the team in scoring for three years in a row. Not great numbers mind you, but leading the team is still leading the team. Of course what's interesting about this is he's done this at an age where Alfie was still in Sweden.

If anything I’d be worried about Varada giving a kid a tap on the ankle or a slash on the shoelaces lol.

Yeah agreed it's pathetic.... Happens alot unfortunately. Alfie and Karlsson as people are nothing alike though. Alfie is a great community guy. Karlsson is absolutely not unfortunately. Lots of Brady in Alfie. Ottawa has been very fortunate to have alot of great alumni who were amazing in the community. Turris, Phillips, Ryan, Anderson, Paul, Neil, Lalime, Mcheachern, Marsh just to name a few. Now Brady, looks to me like Stutzle and Chabot also give alot back. Holden also seems like a gem. Don't need to go on bashing the not good ones but I don't think it's fair to Alfie to be compared to Karlsson in this regard.
