Tkachuk isn't getting the C if he goes to NYR, at least not immediately. He's there to be the 2LW behind Panarin who is the highest scoring LW in the league over the last 5 years. There's plenty of vets their to insulate him if he does get the C down the road, but the market in NYR is next level.

Tkachuk can't handle the pressure of the C here, that's just evident from his stupid penalties and tendency to choose fighting to get back in the game, instead of sticking to his hits, scoring, on-ice play.

they should never separate the Brady-Norris-Batherson line.

Brady can be bad at D and it won't hurt as much since Norris is a stud defensively.

Feel like it is our only consistently good line too, not sure why its not a default.

Sucks for Stutzle though since he gets no one to play with.

Need a winger (or a C since Timmy is basically winger now) who can play as fast as Timmy can, feels like he’s playing every game with guys who can’t keep up.

He’s not Mark Stone he’s not the type of guy who can turn a 4th liner into a 25 goal scorer in 6 weeks, he needs guys to give him back the puck and move in the offensive zone with him.

Try this and see what happens, kill two chickens with one stone and get Pinto and Timmy some upgraded line mates

Timmy - Norris - Batherson
Tkachuk - Pinto - Giroux
Ostapchuk - Greig - Amadio
Gregor - Gaudette - Perron

This is a real head scratcher...

Trouba imminently on his way out from the Rangers presents an interesting off-season scenario.

Brady would fit like a glove there, and would scoop up the C in a heartbeat. New York would absolutely be willing to pay up for that opportunity, and Ottawa would have a tonne of leverage if a deal were to be on the table.

I'd look into it if I were GMSS. Could have the makings of another Yashin-style trade.

Only trade that would makes sense for Ottawa would be Laf + Fox for Brady + a sweetener.

And no way the Rangers do that.

I really don't see us moving him to NY.

I'll tell you right now these Brady B.S. rumors are started by other teams and fans. Every market is going to complain about their players once in awhile when they go through a stretch that they're not playing at their best. Especially in a Canadian market. That's what we do!

They know what we got in Brady and they want it! Never going to happen that guy is going to retire a Senator. He can have another 8-year extension whenever he wants it as far as I'm concerned. Blank check.

Other eams see how we are at the bottom of the standings and they think we are easy pickings to give up our best player because we're so desperate to win. Just need to tell them all to go fly a kite in a thunderstorm. Only stupid people think we're going to Brady. We do the same thing with bottom feeding teams. Maybe not as much be lately because we're the bottom feeding team....lol

I thought he was going to be traded for the past 1.5 years but I woke up this morning, and as if I was visited by an angel that showed me the error of my ways, I think that he is here forever. They are going to risk keeping him because they simply cannot afford to re-tool without him.

Some people on here remind me of the Leafs fans slobbering over the disastrous Brian Burke era.

At least enough Leafs fans realized how bad that era was as it was happening. We're going on 8 years of missed playoffs and you can't say you want change without being called not-a-fan or a troll. A lot of clowns on here who like losing.

Whenever Brady Tkachuk has needed to be the guy, the team he was on has come up short. We'll see next episode in season 4 of this comedy if he can finally make it happen.

Ya there are some dummies on here , that don’t like Brady.

People who make excuses are the ones who whine.

"It's Ullmark, it's Korpisalo, Anderson is having a down year. The GM sucks. The owner sucks. The coach sucks. The bottom 6 sucks. The top 6 sucks. The defense sucks. The fans suck. He's our best player. It's not his fault at all. Leadership? He just has a C on his chest. Players should self motivate!".

Asking for accountability at this point is normal. Every other excuse under the sun has been trotted out. They've been overplayed at this point.

He's not Todd Bertuzzi. We don't have Naslund and Morrison. He's not Matthew Tkachuk. We don't have Gaudreau, Monahan or Barkov, Reinhart, Verhaeghe to cover up the warts in his game.

So you just admitted to whining then lol.
All of the above you’ve said.

He liked it on Instagram not Twitter.

I’d love to see that broken out across lines and games. Is it consistent game to game, or have they had a few very good games, some average games, and then some terrible games? Is the aggregate view deceiving?

Don’t expect you to break that out, but it seems to be the case from watching.

Some games are awesome like against Toronto. And then you have San Jose…

You’ll never be great for 82 games, but it doesn’t seem like we’re at the point yet where we have more very good games than bad. At best it’s 50/50. You’re never quite sure what version of the team you’ll get.

We’ve seen they can be effective when dialed in, but they still take their foot off the guess too much, and we’re not good enough to do that.
Way above 50/50.

We’ve had two very bad games. And then a few others where we were no worse or better than the other team but lost.

Basically a winger? He hasn’t played with anyone capable of playing serious center minutes all season lol. He is the undisputed center on every line he’s played on

Can you show that? I assumed twitter as you can see the tweets that are all part of this
You only see it if you follow Matthew Tkachuk which I don’t, but I just did so I could get a screenshot. It’s real
