Batherson and tkachuks contracts should be swapped

In honestly it should. I am still not seeing that 8.2 million dollar offensive skill-set from him.

Maybe next year he will be better

When Batherson and Stutzle touches the puck, it seems something magical could happen! Tkachuk leaves so much to be desired..

He's on pace for 62 points for 82 games so maybe worth 6-6.5m

Please tell me what he showed there and said was wrong in your delusional eyes?

He does have a very strong valid point. You don't have any counter argument to it, so you chose to just attack the poster

Not hard to see who's delusional here
Rich coming from you. I remember when you had a breakdown on here and called everyone twelve year old girls for criticizing your comically bad takes on Tkachuk.

Remember when you said Tkachuk doesn't intimidate anyone and won't intimidate anyone in the NHL in the future?

Remember how you go dead silent anytime Tkachuk has a good performance? That you only show up when Tkachuk makes a mistake or has a rough game? That you make bold claims about how bad Tkachuk is and how your perspective is better than everyone else's? That when Tkachuk proves you wrong that you never acknowledge that? That you go dead silent and wait for the next moment to repeat this process all over again?

Whenever the team loses some people or the same people seem to always blame Tkachuk even when he plays well. All of the tribulations they have gone through this season doesn't seem to matter to them, Covid, injuries to key players, the flu, the schedule, the defence, poor goaltending at times & the limitations of ownership, AHL players, castoff vets, none of it matters.

He is suppose to take a team most experts said would not make the playoffs & turn them into a contender & win every game. It's a misunderstanding of the team, the league & where they are in their development & just how much one player can do. The two highest scorers in the league haven't been able to turn Edmonton around yet, how can we expect Tkachuk to do it when Ottawa has been without so many of their key players for most of the season? It's hard to understand really.

He's not that guy. He's not paid to be that guy.

Other players beside pure skill, high offence guys get paid.

cmon no one is asking Brady to turn the ship around himself. but as the captain and the highest paid player on the club he should be doing his part. Yes he is banging bodies and I get that you value that the most, but it does not excuse his lack lustre plays in many other areas that make a good hockey player.

Being the captain and the highest paid player on the team means that you raise your game during adversity not the opposite.

He leads the team in scoring which a lot of people say is important & he seems to lead the team in other categories. And in almost every broadcast they throw up these other random stats or points of interest as to how he has reached or is reaching with some of the greats, not only who have played in Ottawa, but some of the greats in the history of the game at such a young age.

Exactly what else do you want this guy to do given all the adversity this team has had this season? So what that he is the highest paid player on the team he does more than anyone else on the team IMO & earns his paycheque every game. What is it that he is not doing that would satisfy you? Is it all his fault the team has lost a number of games in a row, should he also be playing in defence & in net?

if you think he is being paid 8.2 for offensive skill then you aren't paying attention.

He's got 8 pts more than C. Brown, he's also got 17 goals to Brown's 7. Brown's a good player & does a lot for the team & so does Tkachuk, both are good players.

Why even bother replying to that persons post? Save yourself the grey hairs my dude.

If you think Brady Tkachuk is a part of the Sens concerns now or moving forward - then YOU are the problem as a fan of the team, Hopelessly lost and past the point of no return (without eating gobs of crow along the way).

You guys are weird. Always say how wrong I am but barely attack or discuss my points.

And Brady has not been outplaying Connor Brown. Especially since Batherson went down and we needed Brady to step up.

He doesn’t carry the puck like Stu, Norris, Chabot so it looks like he’s not doing stuff. Far from a perfect player but not part of the problem

He turned the game around yesterday and gave us a chance. He has that ability. He’ll get more consistent. Brown was good too.

Still very happy with the package that Brady Tkachuk is bringing to the table.

Didn't get an assist on the Norris goal but it was his play around the net that set everything in motion.

Tkachuk to Stutzle to Chabot to Norris to goal.

They obviously don't have a lot of other options at the moment but I'm not feeling him on PP1. Don't really see him produce much and the bag of tricks is pretty stale to be honest. There's not a lot of goalies you're going to beat with that cut from behind the net and try to stuff it through their pads play. But I suppose who the hell else do you put out there?

Yes I actually liked Brady's game yesterday. He was a beast down low. Still too many weird turnovers and bad defensive play but he was creating chances and actually looking dangerous.

I'm not excluding anything, the sens may very well have valued him exactly at what they paid him, what is objectively wrong is the assumption that because they paid him that, they must have agreed that he was worth that. You've decided to use the fact that he signed as proof that they agreed on his value which is a fallacious argument, that's all.

Well, I would say that your view here is objectively correct in much the same vein as Cliff Clavine once said "who are 3 people that have never been in my kitchen"

I remember what I said and what I didn't say. I still stand by my words where I said he doesn't intimidate anyone, because he doesn't. I haven't seen any team being intimated by him. Last 2 games he is been trying to bully the other team, but it just didn't work.

And, I never went silence, I have always been vocal. I have other things to criticize as well, besides brady, because I don't have a personal Agenda against the player. I will criticize him or any other player when necessary, because I want the team to be better. I don't give a sh1t about any individual player.

But, a 12 year old fangirl like you wouldn't understand this. Always getting butt-hurt whenever someone says anything negative about Brady LOL

You Sir, are delusional.

I'm literally linking and clipping easily verifiable primary source material as evidence to portray my point.

But since you don't like the point you deny the evidence and just call me delusional.

Is it really me being delusional here?

I believe in free speech & given this is a message board for fans to express themselves, people should be free to say what they want whether it be valid or not. Everyone sees things differently & everyone has their biases & favour players & style of play.

It is obvious the kind of player some people like & dislike & the kind of style they like & dislike & it's fairly transparent by their comments on what that is & who they want to draft. It should be a free world with free speech at it's core IMO ... btw the grey hairs are already starting ... I blame the kids.

Every NHL team going back decades that I can remember try & have some big player in front of the net to obscure the goalies vision & pick up the lose change. Remember when Chara has been used that way, Wilson does it for Washington, Florida picked up Hornqvist specifically for this reason & there are lots of others on every team who make their living in that spot as Brady does.

If I'm not mistaken the vast majority of goals are scored within 10 feet of the front of the net. And you need a big guy who can take the punishment that is naturally coming & you need a guy who is willing to go there & take that punishment. Other guys on other lines are suppose to do it as well like Sanford, Paul, Watson & Formenton to a lesser extend. There are also smaller guys like Gallagher who have made a living doing it & take a great deal of punishment for it.

These guys are there to cause some havoc & look for loose pucks & Tkachuk is obviously the best at it on this team which is why he is on the PP. He also leads the team in scoring & has lead the team in scoring now for the 3rd consecutive season. This tells me that not only is he good at it, he's better than anyone else on the team at it & doing exactly what he is paid the big bucks to do & what was expected from him by the team that signed him to that big contract. Fans who like pretty plays are not going to like his style. He is a banger who fights for every inch on every shift & scores what is known as garbage goals around the net which every team wishes they had a guy like that to do. It's not rocket science, it's hard nosed hockey at it's best, that's what they want & get from him.

Lol, I'll give an A+ for the reference, even if I don't agree with the point you're making.
