WhyI wouldn’t trade any draft picks but I’d definitely try to dump Fraser Minten and Easton Cowan on someone.

He’s not a great skater and he’s hopelessly undersized. That’s the kiss of death for anyone hoping to make it in the NHL.
As a Leafs fan I really, REALLY, hope I’m wrong, but this guy sure looks like a career minor leaguer.

Wait, who’s not a great skater? Cowan is the small one and he’s an amazing skater
Lol. He's 18 and is on pace for 122 points. Usually only top 10 picks do that. Like Marner did. Not saying he will become a Marner level player but saying he won't be anything more than a 4th liner at 18 is laughable.Having watched him with London and then in the WJC, he’s never going to be anything more than a 4th line player - - if that - - at the NHL level.
His take is crazy. I have knights seasons tickets and have seen every game he has played at home. He is generally the best skater on the ice for either teamWait, who’s not a great skater? Cowan is the small one and he’s an amazing skater
With a good coach and a strong team anything is possible. Washington and St Louis both proved this and I am sure Shanny tells himself this every night. They aren't sell as long as he is GM of this team. Why would Leafs goes all in? They are a borderline playoffs teams with holes every where.
If anything, we might actually see Tre selling like Gregor, TJ, Bert, Jones and even Gio.

Very wildHahaha this take is hilarious
No Shananananhan hired his buddy Tre BostonBrutal offseason, there is no denying that.
However, Shanny is to blame for this by making the change before the draft and FA. Left no time for anything.
Hated the Treliving hiring at the time and still do. Was okay with moving off of Dubas, but did not like the timing of it, and would have liked us to do a comprehensive search for a GM.
Problem is that Caps and Blues got players with characters and hate losing and getting embarrassed while our top guys don’t feel that way at all beside Mo.With a good coach and a strong team anything is possible. I think he is just messing with us
I saw him live in windsor.the kid can skateHis take is crazy. I have knights seasons tickets and have seen every game he has played at home. He is generally the best skater on the ice for either team
I totally concur .shanny fired dubas he should have owned it .Brutal offseason, there is no denying that.

Time to shit or get off the pot for the 3 amigos. Get it done or GTFO.When I look at this season I see write off and Shanahan fired. I dont think there is anything Tre can do to change the outcome. Sending the same show out again was just another dumb mistake.
Marner is getting more than $11 million. Given what Matthews and Nylander signed for, Marner's number will start with a 12.Last nights game clearly gave treliving a roadmap for success for this team:
In an ideal world we trade Marner for a couple good players. Tavares resigns for under $3 million and the saved money can add additional depth including a goalie.
That's an ideal scenario.
In reality Marner will be resigned to $11 million, Tavares will be resigned to $6 million or so and we keep doing the same thing we've been doing for the last 5 years.
As an aside, it fukking sucks that we still have a year of that albatross Tavares contract next season. This team is SO flawed the way it currently is.
There you go Treliving. unload marner. Break up the big 4, and we'll probably be a BETTER team.
Funny enough i think not signing Nylander to that terrible contract - and replacing him next season with $11 million over a couple different players - would have had the same effect, but we know how that worked out. Goddam it Treliving don't make the same mistake twice.
Marner is getting more than $11 mil. This team would be much better off trading him for a couple of good pieces (Dman and top 6 forward). Tavares can beat it, he’s too slow.Last nights game clearly gave treliving a roadmap for success for this team:

We all know this is a pipe dream though, Marner will resign for $12.5, Tavares will be back at like $5mil, and we will all wonder why, or at least some of us will
I don't think either the Matthews or Nylander contracts are terrible, particularly in the context of the Tavares contract which started the whole overpayment cycle.Last nights game clearly gave treliving a roadmap for success for this team:

he's probably somewhere between 5'9'' and 5'10'' and a 170ish lbsDoesn't 5'11 mean he is really 5'8?![]()
