I think Bergeron is to much of a pro to let it bother him. He understands that the bottom line is THE CUP and that team building starts with the D.
While true, people close to the organization have made comments that management would likely weigh Bergeron's opinion on trading Marchand very heavily, and apparently he is completely opposed to them trading Brad. Bergeron very much enjoys playing with him.
I can't see Sweeney trading him. Obviously if some fantastic offer for a defenseman comes about, everyone is available for the right price. However Sweeney knows he has the fan base on edge what with losing Dougie and Looch and missing the playoffs. Also he and Bergeron are the only players who consistently put up points and neither have missed significant injury time recently.
6x6 is my hope.
