my sources tell me he had supper with the Hayes family and that has vastly swayed BM`s opinion of playing in Boston for fans and media who just pounce on every opportunity to criticize:sarcasm:

All you'd be doing is filling one hole and creating another.

I think we all agree that our biggest hole is the D. Most of us agree that "you have to give in order to get". Marchand is one of our best trading chips in spite of being a UFA after next year. I would definitely trade him for a #1 D.

Other factors to consider: 1.) We're fairly deep at LW now. 2.) Would open the spot for a free agent signing (Vesey).

I do not disagree. However, that #1 dman better be a stud.

Marchand for Pietrangelo

So he doesn't re-sign, says he will think about it - bruins are in 5th in the east come playoff trade deadline.

Who's gonna roofie the St Louis' GM and make him sign that piece of paper before he goes unconscious? For the record, I love Marchand...

Anyone who would trade Brad is nuts.

Bergy would be pissed off. As would I

Then you would have a HUGE hole in the team chemistry and scoring.

How boring and dull the B's would be without Brad. :(

Grass is always greener for some of you ungrateful posters. Marchy busts his ass EVERY shift. :help::shakehead

You trade him to fix the D and cause a huge problem in not only scoring but the team as a whole.

I'm with Ladyfan on this one. There are probably only two guys who, if traded, would cause me to not watch the Bs this year: Bergy and Marchand. Anyone else? No biggie.

Not to me. Brad is in his prime. Good Luck trying to find another player with his skills :naughty: .

Remember the Winter Classic without Brad (or Looch )...Horrible to watch.

I agree, Susan. He's in his prime. He's one of few with any personality. He 'gets it' from what we saw of him post-WC with antics - he's matured. It can't be a Marchand for 1 quarter and two dimes type of a deal. But I think he gets locked up around Bergy's cap hit, high 6's and we see that sooner, rather than later.

Soon I hope as I don't yet trust the B's management to do the right thing.

But think of the draft picks we could get. I bet they may be able to get three of em!

And cap savings is just like a return in and of itself, donchaknow?

Draft picks? I don't trade a player of his caliber for draft picks unless I'm real tight against the cap. And I mean real tight.

I think Bergeron is to much of a pro to let it bother him. He understands that the bottom line is THE CUP and that team building starts with the D.
