Be nice if Florida could win another game but I believe Boston closes this out at home.

I hope to see handshakes on the ice tomorrow. I will say anti-jinx because I remember the Bs being up 3-0 in the series years ago and blowing it. I don't think that will be the case this year.

The Bs need to rest up and heal and I need to save some $$ for the next round.

Brad USED TO play with that same edge. He doesn't anymore. The characterization of him as dirty after his antics yesterday is not at all out of line, or inaccurate. Lumping Marchand in with that sort of play right now IS totally inaccurate. He used to be way worse than Tkachuk. But he hasn't been that player in multiple seasons, so that's not at all a valid comparison.
It’s a pretty valid comparison. How do you not see that? So what we all didn’t love Brad when he was doing his antics?? Even this year Brad still toes the line. He had calmed down for sure but that doesn’t take away from his past in comparison to MT now…….

The Bruins are in a spot where they can use two goalies in a series without having a disadvantage. Wouldn't be against seeing Swayman get the start tomorrow night.
Strong agree, especially with what Ty and Connor Ryan have been tweeting about Ullmark's "wear and tear".

Could also help with their avoidance of Florida's between the whistle mental game following Ullmark's lil spat with Tkachuk. That being said, though, our best opportunity to get our players some rest is to win Game 5 and I wonder whether Monty feels like he should change shit up. He's a coach who likes to ride with his guys.

I haven't gotten that impression at all. He's been changing things up quite a bit throughout?

He's needed to switch up the lines because of the Bergeron/Krejci injuries, but the only non-injury personnel change he's made has been Gryz for Clifton. Goalie's a little different, as well.
As far as personnel on the ice, yah, but do you actually mean you want to change up the actual bodies that are on the ice? Who do you want to replace and with whom? He's been changing things up between the lines during games frequently throughout the series and it's paid dividends a few times.

It's not a valid comparison, because you said "Brad literally plays with the same edge", when it's quite clear, and you even acknowledge, that he literally DOESN'T play with that edge right now. And hasn't in years. Point out one instance this year where he's come close to toeing the line. I'm quite sure you can't.

Here’s the difference to me tho…Marchy was never supposed to be the player he is today. His current skill level isn’t natural born talent, it’s proof of his working his ass off to become the player he is now. At 5’9”, projected to be a 4th liner his entire career - he found a way to get in the door with his shenanigans. I mean, he literally made a bet with Claude in order to make the roster in 2011.MT had the door opened for him since birth. All he had to do is walk through it. He’s 6’3”, skilled, has an NHL family name, and is also needlessly a pain in the ass jerk that does shady shit. He doesn’t need to play that way after the whistle. He has the talent to make it hurt on scoreboard in between the whistles. He’s not fighting for his career - he’s just a dick on the ice.

5'8 if the truth is known ;)

My guy he literally has played with that same edge this year….he’s tone down the serious stuff and and suspensions but have you not watched him play after the whistle this year? I mean come on man. It’s nothing like his past but if you can’t admit the comparison idk what to say. Also if you go back and look at the bruins GTD you’ll see some ignorant and dumb comments from a lot of the fans. Bruh I’m sure I actually can. You make it sound like he was a saint this year while putting up 74 pims. I’m not here to argue I love Brad with all my heart. I have two Brad jerseys… but give me a break about not seeing the comparison.

Can’t say I ever remember Brad
trying to pick a fight with a goalie, could be wrong though.

So you're saying you can't point to a single instance this year. Not surprising, since there hasn't been one. If you wanted to compare Tkachuk NOW to Marchand of 5-8 years ago, absolutely valid. But saying they're the same now? That stretches believability.

Would that be in 03-04 when they were up 3-1 vs the Habs and then lost? I had just gotten to Boston in summer 03 and that was my very first season seeing (and hence rooting for) the Bruins. Was a total gut punch. Was that it?

Just gotta make sure Krejci doesn’t get hurt and they will be fine.
