I hate the Panthers so f***ing much.

They don't play right. They can't win right. They can't coach right. They can't be consistent the right way.

And now they can't even lose right.

Going to lose on game 6 on my dad's birthday with 70 guests.

I hate you Maurice. I hate you Panthers. f***ing terrible

What an abusive relationship I swear

I thought this was the easiest series to pick and the most likely sweep..
4-zip Boston. but its already 6 game series.

Bruins team GAA in the regular season was 2.15, at the 2023 play-offs its 3.00.
Panthers team GAA in the regular season was 3.35, now its 3.60.

Panthers are playing pretty much the same defensively but Bruins are not even close.
and Ullmark's stats have dropped a lot.

Ullmark from .939 sv% / 1.89 gaa to .910 sv% / 2.80 gaa

Each of his three goals were literally gifted to him by the Bruins. He's created nothing by himself.
Maybe he didn't create those goals, but he certainly took advantage of the opportunities given to him, which is more then I can say for many players on either team.

Also let's not act like his goals have been "garbage" goals. Quick hands on his first 2 playoff goals one of which was an in between the legs shot, and the latest one he showed patience, a lot of players would have shot that puck right away.

Panthers put up 3, 5, 3, and 4 against Boston in the regular season. Safe to say after a cumulative of 9 games, Florida’s #4 offense with 3.50 GF/GP is capable of scoring more than 2 goals per game in a best of 7.

You don’t have to sit there and question why your player or team is seemingly broke. They’re not. They’re still playing like the better team, but Florida has a knack for scoring just like Boston does.

Also, assuming this would be a sweep was a serious short sale on a known talented team. Don’t forget, Florida was in Boston’s position just a year ago. Historic season. The team’s makeup hasn’t changed all that much.

Sure, keep going. I'm assuming you can back up the other claim of another fine this season, because I sure can't find it. The fine for the "dangerous trip" was based purely on reputation, as have many other DOPS decisions.

And pulling out an unsportsmanlike penalty for being angry that a blatant dangerous infraction wasn't called? yeah, that's weak sauce, and if you're using that as comparison to Tkachuk, then you're really reaching.

Marchand is no saint, and yeah, he's not been totally as clean as I had remembered, but Tkachuk recently has been worse, which is exactly my point.
So he shows you evidence and you just whine that it was a reputation call.
He was suspended 2x last season and to say he's been good for 5-8 is a downright falsehood.

Panther's going down swinging and the Buck's swinging on the Heat's nuts. Can't complain!

They got totally dominated last night?

Would you have guessed a sweep if you knew Bergeron wouldn’t play in the 1st 4 games or Krejci missing 3 games?

Sweeps are always anyways difficult in this league and without top6C’s about impossible

If the Panthers had a competent special teams this series could, and I repeat could, been in their favor. It's just crazy how bad their Powerplay and PK is. 5 on 5 they can struggle for stretches with possession and have a bend but don't break moxie.

Now, to give credit to the Bruins, they have been aggressive on the PK and their PP seems like a well oiled machine but the Panthers just have struggled to adapt in the playoffs when it comes to their Powerplay for years. It seems like the exact same scheme from last year with little variation. No one skating, Bruins can clog the shooting lanes and the Panthers over pass to a turnover.

This game should of been a 6-3 win for the Bruins for how many chances they had, but somehow Bob stepped up and kept it a one goal game/tied.

Originally picked Panthers for the upset in 7. Still looks like an error despite this Florida win, but you never know. Can Panthers win a game on home ice?

I could not love the panther celebration more. Seeing the giant skate to their goalie and the big circle pile of happy players jumping up and down and piling on each other was something out of Little League. It was so wholesome and pure. It was like they were just a bunch a little kids playing the game and loving it. It really made me appreciate that moment.
