Im going to come across as overly cocky but I gotta say it:

This is how Boston has been winning for, man, the last 1/4 of the year? Sort of random pairings and lines, not looking dominant, and then it's 3-1 at the end of the game. It's like they just toss the puck out to start and guys just kinda beer league it. Then every so often we hit a real challenge and this juggernaut shows up for 2 goals in 5 minutes. It's just not needed yet.

Keep having fun out there boys.

Was that the 1st series you guys had with the Hawks?

There was some truly awful officiating in that series, if we're being honest.

2nd! 2010 game 4 IIRC. Hasn't been that long but Im happy how goalie inteference has gotten better in such a short time.

---

As far as the game I thought FLA was definitely better through 2 periods, yet Boston was leading then in the third Boston gave FLA nothing.

Boston is just a well oiled machine, despite what I just said it never felt like they were in danger. And they still have their best player coming back.

Rest of the series will be interesting but it's going to be hard for Florida.

Lyon made some good saves and some stinker goals especially the Marchand one

Bruins looked like dog shit and still got the win, par for the course for them this season, it’s really unexplainable. They seem to have magnets for the puck on the end of their sticks. Just stifling defensively

It's the defense, it's suffocating.

Maybe the Cats are gonna come out throwing hits game 2, as if that’s the secret to winning games.

If they’d focus on speed and offensive prowess, they’d maybe stand a chance.

If our offense looked threatening for more than two plays and Lyon didn’t flub the second goal we might have had a good shot to win that. Definitely thought Boston looked mortal tonight but Florida decided to play like shitters.

With Bergeron coming back I imagine that’s gonna sink this ship for good

Also it’s wild. I actually think I respect and even like the Bruins when I see them on a national broadcast. I think the only thing I don’t like about them is Jack Edwards. And it’s a very serious dislike lol

Panthers looked like they can play with the Bruins. But they were giving their 100% and Boston was probably at 75%.

Boston will win this in 5:

Panthers will find a way to win one game. Boston will win at least one game by 4 goals. And two other games will look relatively close like tonight.

That’s the best you can hope for the Panthers. Boston is just on another level.

That’s John Shorthouse and John Garrett, the Canucks crew. I don’t think they’ve done non-Canucks playoff games before but man they made this game fun.

To add to this I always liked seeing Nosek start the game at the dot throughout the season.

So… not bad for a team that:

•is too old.
•is too sick.
•hadn’t faced any adversity all season.

Did I miss anything?
Yup - you forgot:

- peaked too early
- not nearly as good as their record indicates
- luckiest team ever during the regular season as all the bounces went their way
- Colin Campbell helping out his kid.........oh wait - that's from 2011. :sarcasm:

I thought the Bruins forwards looked a little sluggish and Florida clearly came out with a gameplan to wear them down physically. That first period was electric from puck drop.

I don't even think the Cats strategy or their execution was even particularly bad, to be honest, save a little penalty trouble. But Boston is so good at boxing guys out of the front of net and protecting the slot. It's so hard to get a quality scoring chance on them, and when you do, you've got to find a way to beat Ulmark.
