Hoping the Florida Panthers do your dirty work for you? I wouldn’t want to (potentially) face the Bruins in the Second Round if I were a Leafs fan, either.
Well I don’t have to actually play against them. But if that’s the route, so be it. Anything after round 1 should be gravy for us Leaf fans. But if we do get there, expect us to be as annoying as hell.

Old team overall where a bunch of vets had career years...I've said many times this is a very good team but this was a shocker nobody saw coming. They remind me a ton of the 2021 San Francisco Giants in baseball where everything clicked but it fell apart fast once they got to the playoffs. Lets not forget fans and even management were basically in agreement after the 2021 upset vs NYI to basically totally blow this up and rebuild
Who had a career year? Ullmark, pasta, Debrusk…. Old vets for sure.

Even if it we even, which it’s not, the special teams will swing it Boston’s way.

I don't see why this would be a super easy series for the Bruins.

Despite Maurice, Panthers are full of high end talent, playing as the underdog and Bruins have faced like zero adversity all season.

That Boston team is a veteran roster, they have experience for miles.

By far the biggest differences with the teams are in experience and in defense.
You could make a case Boston has the best 3 overall Dmen in this series.

Florida has forwards in Barkov, Tkachuk, Verhaeghe, Reinhart, Bennett to make it a fight.

Boston takes this series in 5 games.

These teams have only met once before with the Panthers taking that series back in the early Panther days.

Boston's defense is a pain in the ass to play against. They all play heavy and don't take any prisoners. They will most likely keep the teams to the outside most of the games and that would frustrate opposition tons

I wonder what the cost comparison is for tickets in the lower bowl at TD Garden vs. a round trip flight to Miami, hotel, and tickets to the Panthers game is.

I bet games 3 and 4 have a lot of Bruins fans in the crowd
For the balcony it’s about $150 less in Florida right now. Flights from Boston to Florida have gone up considerably, looking at 3-400 round trip. So for two people you’re likely around a $400 premium to hop down to Miami for a few days, then tack on a cheap hotel and food.

To me, not worth it. But for lots of people i bet it is. I might make that deal for a conference final, but no sooner

A "quote" has been floating around on Reddit and elsewhere. I couldn't find a reputable link otherwise. Forgive me, but was the following an actual quote made in the last few days?

"We will systematically deconstruct, frustrate, embarrass and obliterate the Bruins one game at a time."

- Paul Maurice on his plans for the President's Trophy winners

There was something floating around that someone made a realistic fake of Maurice speaking to the press. Sounds like something that would’ve come from that.

0.0% chance that’s real.

Why would you fly into Miami when the stadium is closer to Ft. Lauderdale airport?
