Probably not an ideal match up for a president trophy team as I think Florida is better then where they are in the standings but I’ll still say the Bruins

Tkachuk will have to play hockey instead of trying to be a shit disturber if the Panthers want any hope of winning a game . Tkachuk is a damn good player but can be a Shithead.
Panthers have a decent amount of talent but at the end of the day , B’s depth will be too much to handle . It comes down to head to head battles with lines matching up against one another . I just think the Bruins lines 3/4 will outplay the Panthers bottom 6 enough to win the series .

Tkachuk has been good at hockey all season long. It’s not an issue.

One of those years being the best ever in the history of the nhl? Yup one of those years I guess.

Old team overall where a bunch of vets had career years...I've said many times this is a very good team but this was a shocker nobody saw coming. They remind me a ton of the 2021 San Francisco Giants in baseball where everything clicked but it fell apart fast once they got to the playoffs. Lets not forget fans and even management were basically in agreement after the 2021 upset vs NYI to basically totally blow this up and rebuild

I’m not disputing that . Imjust saying he will be way more effective if he doesn’t play the way he started the playoffs last year with Flames vs. Stars .
I agree with what you’re saying. But all the “extra” stuff pretty much went away since that one night in L.A. early in the year. He’s just been playing solid hockey and putting up points since. It’s almost like someone had a talk with him while he sat out those 2 games.

Not an old team, recheck your numbers. But sure I can see how the team that just set the all time record for wins and points in single season is primed to crumble. Post some credible stats that helped you come to the conclusion the bruins are suddenly going to from setting the single season wins and points record of all time to a team doomed for failure in a few days time?? Or is this just your gut feeling??

Even if post 2021 was a rebuild, I’d say their front office just made all these teams that are currently stuck in 5-10 year rebuild projects look pretty damn incompetent.

Not that it matters because the Bruins are great on the road but Florida's crowd and in general Miami sports crowds are rather pathetic. So expect a huge advantage for the B's in that favor in this series too.

Bruins crowd is almost the gold standard while the Panthers crowd is on the opposite end of the spectrum.
Negative.

The Bruins roster isn't littered with rookies and underperforming veterans.

Truly a recipe for disaster.

I am saying the Bruins win but Florida makes every game respectable. Boston in 5 or 6

Curious which vets, and maybe what you consider a vet?

Pasta is 26, surely we're not going to highlight it as a "vet outlier" when a 26 year old has a career year. So along those same lines, Trent Frederick (first year playing regular minutes) having his career best at age 25 isn't noteworthy either. Same for Zacha (first full year out of NJ) who is also only 26 years old. Jake Debrusk (first full year on the top line) is also only 26. All these guys just had what you'd expect when you "arrive".

Vets who DID have career years:

*Ullmark (age 29)
*Hampus (age 29)
Orlov (by 1 pt, age 31)
Gryz (by 2 pts, age 29)
Connor Clifton (he just played his first full season at age 27, but I won't split hairs with you)

*I don't know if it's that remarkable that you take Ullmark out of Buffalo and Hampus out of Anaheim and put them on a good team and they have career years? Would have been weirder if they didn't.

Vets who DID NOT have career years:

Bergeron
Marchand
Krejci
Hall
Foligno
Coyle
Forbort
Hathaway
Nosek
Bertuzzi

And neither did Charlie or Carlo but they're 25 and 26, so I assume we agree we don't need to list them in the "vets" column just yet.

So most of the Bruins, particularly the older ones, did not have career years.
