Bogo stated he did not want to play in canada due to the lockdowns. Was never gonna happen even if leafs offered him 1m per.
New Jersey signed Hamilton. The big dog is off the board, not that I thought Leafs would have the stones to go for it.
It will be an interesting piecemeal adventure here on in. This team is almost certainly worse than last years against tougher opposition for 82 games barring some real moves.
I just don't see them at this point.
this is the problem with "leaf" fans ....
lets compare a sheltered 13min a game guy with a 22 min guy and lets make it seem like that a comparison worth making.
Nobody's talking about this but this team is going to get even more pushed around this season.
The good news is that missing the playoffs will mean Dubas and his buddy Keefe are fired and the Leafs get a lottery pick in what will be a great draft.
Unless Dubas gives that away in a desperation trade.
Useless.I am guessing you don't watch Liljegren play. I'd argue he is more physical than Bogo, just probably won't fight.
Glad he took a stand against tyranny.Bogo stated he did not want to play in canada due to the lockdowns. Was never gonna happen even if leafs offered him 1m per.
Good point there. He never seems to be up for long. Time to run with himmaybe give him more than 1 game from time to time. let the kid settle in.
I agree. Not sure who’s getting the spot but we got a ton out of Bogo last year for that million.huge loss, and at that cap hit we wont find anyone similar imo
3 yrs x $3 Million with the Bruins.Derek Forbort could be signed for 1 mill. Hes big, physical, plays mean and is solid defensively.

Are you saying 33 year old Simmonds and 32 year old MUZZ is not enough muscle LOL?
After 100% support I am starting to lean towards the anti Dubas crew after seeing what it looks like is going to be rolled out this year
How did Bogosian prevent anybody from being pushed around in a way that Liljegren couldn't?Nobody's talking about this but this team is going to get even more pushed around this season.
It's patently unfair that either player should be expected to be the leaders on the team in terms of aggression and fighting. That stuff has always been a young players' domain. I bet both are willing to attempt to deliver but we've all seen this play before: old guy gets into an inspirational fight or big hit to lift up and defend his team. It ends up injuring himself for a long term and the injury is often the career ending variety.

He had 1 fight last year and that was because Austin Watson went mental after Bogosian pinched in the offensive zone to make a hit on him in a game the Leafs were winning 2-0.
Anybody who thinks Bogosian stood up for his teammates or scared anybody has a skewed perspective.
Liljegren is just as physical and he showed that he's ready to at least take 5 on 5 minutes this year. He can probably handle secondary PK minutes as wel to start.
Liljegren is much, much better defensively than Sandin is at this point. He's also more physical.I'm sure the heads are going to be on a swivel for Liljegren's deer-in-headlights style of defending. Sandin's a more physically dangerous player IMO because he's got some strut and spunk.
Looks like they wanted it to be Jani Hankanpaa. I don't know where they turn too now
