Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I think they will be better as well as they continue to develop. It would obviously make more sense to ease them into full time roles in sheltered roles on the 3rd pairing.
This is the ideal replacement. Doesn't block Liljegren, can eat big PK minutes if Muzzin or Holl go down.
Bogosian was tough, big and hardworking. Not a fit for Dubas

Liljegren hits like a Mack truck and is built like a brick sh-thouse. Not sure where you got the idea that he's soft.
It would be more or less the same as last season in terms of physicality.

Sure, Lili can hit. My point is that Bogo can hit and has a little more grit to his game than Lili. Bogo would have no hesitation dropping the gloves if need be.

I am guessing you don't watch Liljegren play. I'd argue he is more physical than Bogo, just probably won't fight.
Bogosian had 1 fight last year and it was in the offensive zone after a pinch he made. His physical impact is wildly overstated.
Good defensively, good on the PK, but the grit factor wasn't really there.

Last year our D was very healthy so there wasn't much room for extras but that won't likely happen again.
With only 7 dmen there will be plenty of games for all of sandin Lilly and dermott to get good runs....and likely plenty of top-4 duty for them to fill in for too.
There's a chance tho that dermott gets traded so in that situation we may add another bogo type.

Holl and Dermott both have had more fights in the last 3 years than Bogo.
I think Liljegren is being severely underrated as a physical presence, he is very different from the player we drafted.

Rielly - Brodie
Muzzin - Holl
Dermott - Liljegren
I think Liljegren is a much more complete player than Sandin at this point.
Was thinking of Schenn or Gudbranson for gritty/depth… wouldn’t hurt to sign an extra vet instead of using picks or prospects at the deadline.

time to let Sandin and Liljegren play. or if Liljegren isnt viewed as a player who can atleast play this year full time. maybe it's time to try and shop him

It is a hard thing to do when you have 6 D you think are superior to him (I only think 4 are).
I really hope we are able to move Dermott for some futures or in a package for a higher-end forward and open up some spots for Sandin and Liljegren.
Liljegren is still young and I think he had a better development path than Sandin so far, so I think they still think highly of him.
