Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but I seemed to see Laine be the first one to go change on his line almost constantly, like he was happy to get off the ice. I could be imagining it, but I know for sure that I saw him leave first more than a few times.
I've noticed that too

A caller on the post game show just suggested we send Laine to the moose for a week. Benefits are that he can gain his confidence back by scoring a bunch of goals, and the Moose attendance goes through the roof for those games. Maybe unlikely that this happens, but it’s an interesting idea.

Sending Laine to the Moose would be an even bigger insult to him than sending him to the press box to watch a few games.

Either send Laine to the Moose or the press box. It seems like he is not going to pull out of the slump this season unless something is done outside of the box.

Laine cannot be sent to the Moose without passing through waivers. Not happening.

I thought Laine was solid tonight.. Board battles? He won some.. He lost some like everyone else really. Engaged? Looked like he was trying hard.. Sitting around watching? He was consistently the first forward back in the D zone.. Covered up for D a few times when they pinched.

Is he scoring? No.
But this idea he isnt doing anything else is total bullcrap and makes reading threads difficult.

Why do ppl go on about Laine all the time? Where was the Vet Perreault? Did he play.. Lowry? Did he? Wheeler? He is laine but with assists instead.

Like i don't get the ridiculous fascination with this kid. Makes it worse when ppl just make stuff up tho.

Wheeler and Laine are not the same.

I think to get the second line going - especially Laine, we will all see this happen with the return of Nic Ehlers. While Laine is struggling right now, having his good friend Nic back on his line will help him to relax and regain his focus, and we'll start to see him scoring again.

Just finished watching the game. A win is a win.

I'll give this game 3 dancing Berdins out of 5.

We are the best in West without Ehlers who might be our best winger. That is like the ultimate self-rental.

Ehlers is back, probably after the home stand. Laine has 2 games to show something. If he is bringing nothing to our team, I will not be shocked or disappointed if Laine is the one riding the pine.

Little, Ehlers and Rosi sounds like a line to me.

Hope we see something from Laine, but he needs to earn the ice time.

Laine is still clearly thinking on the ice, especially in the defensive zone.

He needs to stop thinking and just play - Which is really hard to do.

Didn't the Laine slump begin when he was to LW? If he's thinking to much perhaps that's why.

PP a completely different issue. The team is having issues as a whole getting into the zone. Less zone time, less chances for Laine.

ELC has nothing to do with waiver eligibility. He signed at 18, to be sent to the minors, he will required to be passed through waivers after 5 years or 160 NHL games. Laine is well beyond 160 games and is therefore subject to waivers.

Correct. Right now Roslovic, Lemieux, & Appleton are the only waiver exempt roster players. Lemieux will require waivers beginning next season. Jack & Mason the season following.

The fourth line comes through for us again.

I was so angry with Brendan Lemieux after that second game in Finland.

For the game winning goal he drove to the net but he made sure not to touch Lundqvist and nullify the goal with a goalie interference call.

I had a good feeling about this game after Zhamnov5GoalGame's GDT.

I knew Spider-Man would not let me down!

These two episodes were my favorite.
The appearance of Sub Mariner in the second video link is solid.
Plus a Dr Strange sighting long before he was cool enough to make a movie about.

While working on the GDT I realized that Spider-Man is a pretty good metaphor for Laine.
His stories often dealt with self doubt and a lack of confidence.
Somebody bounce one in off the poor kids leg.
Happens all the time to other players.
It would be good if it happened to us for Laine.

They tried him briefly with Lowry. Wasn't it the game immediately after that experiment that he exploded for 5?
He played with lowry for 5 games starting in finland, then got moved with little on connor and has been with little ever since
