There's absolutely no reason this game shouldn't be 6-0. Blues have hounded the Hawks all night and out-chanced them at every opportunity. The fact we haven't scored more than 1 time, on a powerplay no less, is really annoying and frustrating. I have to give Fleury credit because he's the only one keeping them in it, but I don't even know if his play has been stellar rather than extremely lucky. Blues need to convert more on these types of chances, especially on bad teams like the Hawks.

There are a lot of players that have looked good tonight like Thomas, Faulk, the 4th line, but Walman and Mikkola haven't looked amazing. Mikkola was awful in his own end and still couldn't get the puck out either in the 1st or 2nd. His passes are to nobody and get picked off easily. I hope he can develop more skills but it feels like he's 7th d-man fodder. Hopefully we can keep up this pressure and pace, otherwise I worry we'll get scored on 6 on 5.

Wow!!! Bad luck for The Blues, as the shot dropped down behind Fleury, and he managed to fall atop it, and keep it from moving towards the goal line. I really liked how smooth and quick Kostin looked on his drive, and skating around that defenceman. He's starting to look like he belongs. I can't wait until he starts scoring regularly.

Barbashev should have just skated the puck farther forward crossed The Red Line, and dumped the puck towards the other end of the rink while pressured, instead of trying to get it to a covered teammate for an attempt for the goal. But, at least The Blues won anyway. And Binnington gets the shutout!!!!

I don't even know what to say. This was one of the most annoying wins I've ever seen or felt. Binnington did what he had to do, but Blues have to find better ways to convert on those prime opportunities they had.
