I doubt Hamrlik makes it to us, but if he does, I would be surprised if we didn't claim him. The cap hit doesn't really matter, and his salary isn't too awful. I can't see how he'd be worse than Redden/Woywitka.

Roman Hamrlik was waived. Wonder if he has anything left in the tank? 38 years old. One heck of a d-man at one time. Maybe he, Redden, and Arnott could race for a roster spot?

Haha wow. Andy Roach and Kevin Dallman. Haven't heard those names in a long time. Man those were dark days.

Hopefully if the Blues add a d-man (whether it's a trade or claiming Hamrlik, I don't really care) we can somehow get Redden off the roster.

I think Hitchcock would still play Redden we could have Whitney and Redden for the slowest LH defensemen in the league.

They all were pretty good at one time though just none of them really are left with NHL speed anymore. Actually I am not 100% sure how Hamrlik's speed is currently but at 38 I wouldn't expect much.

Why do some Blues fans seem to think we have the Budget to trade for Gaborik? With Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk as our 2 main RFA to sign along with Berglund and Stewart it just makes no sense.

Wondering what the good (or bad) word is on Stewart. I know last year he fell out of favor big time. He looks okay so far this season from what I've seen, what do you guys think?

Not at all a "good luck with him." He has been a lot better this year, more responsible in the system and in far better shape. He still makes his mistakes, but its what I expect from an player that has a trouble with the game mentally. Obviously, he is available for the right players. Top pair LHD or #1 C which is two commodities that teams don't trade. I'm pretty sure the only way Stewart would end up in Dallas would be part of a multi team trade or FA.

Absolutely. He's playing the player he can be and his skill set is unique to the Blues when he's on.

If he plays like this, he would be pretty much untouchable.

Definitely a guy like that is always worth more to your team than what you may receive in trade.

I'll go crawl back in to my hole and wish we would have pounced last year.

This team needs a major shake up. What do you guys think we could get for either Oshie or Perron? Out of all of our core I think those 2 are the most that would create the biggest shake up and garner the biggest return. I say those 2 because we obviously won't trade pie or shatty, Backes is our captain and I do not want to see us give up Bergy.
