Why?I agree, I would like Saad to be moved as well but he does have a NTC.

Just believe he is a very average player and just doesn’t add to much to the lineup. As we all know, we need cap space and would rather see Perron signed for 2-3 years at reasonable money <5.0 Million on a 3 year contract than have Saad. The Saad money could be used for LD or put away for next year when the big contract problems occur, i.e. ROR resigning, Thomas contract, Kyrou contract. Where is that money coming from to sign these players. I know the obvious answer is Tarasenko just dont think the Blues can trade him and get back no salary commitment. Why?
No Way do I see either Perron and Leddy taking less than 4.5milMy prediction
we trade Tarasenko for a 1st
re-sign Perron - 3 yrs 12 mill
re-sign Leddy 3 yrs 12 mill
we‘ll have the same team but without Tarasenko and Husso going into 2023. Neighbors takes over for Tarasenko.
Tarasenko, Scandella, 23OV for Sanheim and Konecny. (I know I'm wrong. Lol)I just have feeling that it is going to be us and Philly. It is pretty well known that they want to "shake things up" and that they need offense. I think it is going to be something around Tarasenko and Sanheim. Both have 1 year left before UFA and both fill a need.

This would be a major mistake.Just believe he is a very average player and just doesn’t add to much to the lineup. Leddy for 4m would be a big mistakeMy prediction

He's a defensive forward that helped hold Makar and Co to their worst production in the playoffs. And he's exactly what Army went and hand picked in the offseason and played exactlyhow they wanted him. I see zero chance they trade him.Just believe he is a very average player and just doesn’t add to much to the lineup. As we all know, we need cap space and would rather see Perron signed for 2-3 years at reasonable money <5.0 Million on a 3 year contract than have Saad. One series does not make a year. Just one persons opinion. This would be a major mistake.
Saad was matched up against Cale Makar and it was not Makar who won.
The matchup with the ongoingly potent direct rival Cup winners is most of what should drive how this team is made up. The Blues have a player for 4.5M who can be tasked with containing Makar over a whole series, he does it, which is by definition an elite performance, and you don't find that significant and want to get rid of the guy? In terms of "making a year" he also scored 24 goals this past year. One series does not make a year. Just one persons opinion.
The people on this board seem to be against almost any players being moved or not signed as free agents except Scandella. Can’t move Krug, Tarasenko, must sign Perron at more than 5 million per year, must keep Saad, etc. We all know our left defense is inadequate. Folks the money for ROR next year, Thomas’s contract, Kyrou’s contract have to come from somewhere. Hard decisions have to be made. I’m just making suggestions that hopefully make those decisions easier.
I hated the Krug signing when it happened and I still hate it. 7 years with an NTC was one of Armstrong's rare mistakes. At least there seems to be an indication that Armstrong realizes it.
Agreed 100%I hated the Krug signing when it happened and I still hate it. 7 years with an NTC was one of Armstrong's rare mistakes. At least there seems to be an indication that Armstrong realizes it.
I wouldn't say you are in the minority at all, most here like what Krug brings. It is just that most don't think it is worth the contract.I guess I’m in the minority, but I love what Krug brings.
In terms of AAV perhaps. It is the length of the contract and the NTC that I don't like.Krug is worth his contract much more than like half of the defenseman getting paid more than him.
it might be 1 mill too high, but FA’s aren’t beating our door down to come to STL. We have to overpay a little to get them. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.I wouldn't say you are in the minority at all, most here like what Krug brings. It is just that most don't think it is worth the contract.
