Its not even 7 PM in Edmonton yet so still possible we hear something tonight but will likely be early tomorrow morning
Yes, it is. It's actually 7:46 right now in Edmonton. They're in MST.Its not even 7 PM in Edmonton yet so still possible we hear something tonight but will likely be early tomorrow morning
They can just tell the players they’re going to match. By waiting the entire week they force the Blues to kind of sit on their collective hands while they wait for a response.
Well I’ll be, I always thought they were WST. Why the hell do all our games out there always start at 9Yes, it is. It's actually 7:46 right now in Edmonton. They're in MST.
I guess, but it’s pretty pointless. It’s not like they are holding the Blues back from making other moves, they are pretty much set other than these OSsThey can just tell the players they’re going to match. Do they? Its not like offer sheets are common. Carolina matched Aho the next day. Colorado matched RoR like hours later. Weber they took 6 days to match, but I'm not sure what hour they matched. Is there an example where they matched the morning of their deadline?
2019 cured me of that.My common sense agrees with you. My Blues fandom knows not to expect good things
2019 cured me of that.

Yeah man....sorry to break this to you, but the Blues have finished in last place the past five years, have selected #1 each year and then traded away all of those amazing players just to induce a collective nightmare.I’m still expecting to wake up
Blues can still line up other trades. It doesn’t make the Blues sweat by waiting. They can just tell the players they’re going to match. By waiting the entire week they force the Blues to kind of sit on their collective hands while they wait for a response.
Way to make this Oilers-relevant.Yeah man....sorry to break this to you, but the Blues have finished in last place the past five years, have selected #1 each year and then traded away all of those amazing players just to induce a collective nightmare.
Sorry.
They keep spinning around and around. Like a record baby. round round round round. We have 22 pages of speculation and the oilers have 141
I offer one Peter ChiarelliIf that were to be the case, I would hope Army’s response would be that they can have our 2025 second as comp for the offer sheet.
No reason to pay extra.
Zackly what I was thinkin'.I suppose they could be waiting to announce for spite but I don’t think spite is a factor to the grownups outside of the internet, especially since the offseason basically over and waiting just means it’s that much longer that they can’t trade them a year from now should they so desire.
Perhaps they really are trying to work something out with Armstrong.
It was a couple of decades ago when Edm opted to not match the Corson OS, then turned around and sent those picks back to STL for Cujo and Grier. Crazy if something like that occurs between these same 2 franchises again.Zackly what I was thinkin'.
Would be f***ing hilarious if Edmonton trades for Saad.I suppose they could be waiting to announce for spite but I don’t think spite is a factor to the grownups outside of the internet, especially since the offseason basically over and waiting just means it’s that much longer that they can’t trade them a year from now should they so desire.

That forward lineup gets very crowded if we get Holloway and Dvorsky really pushes to make the team.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Saad moved this season.
Not sure you really want to start Bolduc in the AHL this year, but may have to to get ice time.
It's been mentioned over at HFOilers.Would be f***ing hilarious if Edmonton trades for Saad.
Just the memes of Bowman being obsessed with Saad would be the best thing in the NHL for a bit. It's been mentioned over at HFOilers.
