Glowing things could be said about Matt Murray too. Teams just aren't going to take the risk of those contracts. Too long.Dude legitimately outplayed Tuuka Rask in the Cup Final, and lifted his team to a Cup victory by making the routine saves and playing with confidence; something this team rarely saw consistently from their goaltending. He's not going to be mistaken for Shesterkin, but he's not a horrible goaltender who will soon be out of the league. He's a workhorse starter who's slightly above average in a lot of attributes, with a compete level that the guys rally around.
He can be a bit of a doofus with his tough-guy act; but he's still a good goalie. He's just currently making a lot of money and watching his back-up outshine him.
With what Cap Space? Unless St Louis retain 25%-50% + a pick and takes back Mrazek - what deal is there to be had with the Leafs?Except there will be zero market then.
Smart to target the market which has the Leafs OIlers and Knights a bit desperate for a goalie. The Knights have no ability to retain that contract though. If they unload it on Edm or Tor that's a huge win for StL...i dont see anyone biting

Leafs don't have Cap space. St Louis would need to retain to make it work. Square peg, round hole.If Toronto were offered Mrazek for Binnington they'd take it and run.
Mrazek is garbage. Binnington is at least a solid goalie
Yes watch him play then come back with an opinion.Or I could watch him play and not rely upon some idiot stat watchers
...I have. Smh you can't argue with stupidYes watch him play then come back with an opinion.
Or maybe stick to the Kings? 6Mx5 for 3 straight years of regression. No f***ing thanks.Or I could watch him play and not rely upon some idiot stat watchers

Oh they way you talk about him, it's like you haven't watched him all year....I have. Smh you can't argue with stupid

Usually when a team is running 2 goalies, and one goalie has substantially better numbers than the other, its usually cause the one goalie isn't playing very good. Unless you are trying to say that the team just happens to play much worse when Binnington is in net than Husso.Or I could watch him play and not rely upon some idiot stat watchers
Ahhh yes. I forgot how many more cups Price has won compared to Binnington....Might as well call Hughes for Carey Price if you want an anchor contract, at least Carey can win you a cup with a decent team
He started the season very good, then a rough stretch for 10 or so games, then an implosion, and since then he's had a solid 5 game stretch. He hasn't been utter garbage all season like you imply, he's just struggled with finding that consistency. He'll never be 2019 consistently, that was never going to happen, but he won't be as bad as he was for parts of this season either.Oh they way you talk about him, it's like you haven't watched him all year.
Yes, who among us will ever forget that amazing save Scott Darling made to keep the score 2-0 in favor of his team in Game 7 of the Cup Final, on his way to his triumphant 16th win in those playoffs and...Binnington is the new scott darling. ....
No Binnington is the new Matt MurrayBinnington is the new scott darling. ....
