meh i dont like to play what ifs. fact is in both games, blues went into 3rd period down a single goal and showed VERY LITTLE fight. Blues 5on5 game sucks and our depth is getting outplayed by theirs for whatever reason. Throw in leaky goaltending now b/c of the injury and you see the results.
husso shouldnt sniff the net again in this series imo. start chuckie and at the very least get him some experience. but if im being honest, if they start chuckie they will take this to a G7. hes a damn good goalie.
Binnington is more effective as a 1a. He tires out each season and vools off after always dtarting season hot. Hes doing good cuz husso took reigns.
Playoffs are more small sample size than skill but husso was never gonna keep up what he did during reg season. But binny was bad 2 playpffs in a row before this one.
Charles lindgren is not an nhl goalie. You just gonna burn binny into ground if thats your backup cuz hes not an nhl goalie. Get a real backup if you let husso walk, not a career minor leaguer who had 4 good starts vs weak offensive teams.

All I have to say is that the collection of Avs fans posting on the main forum are seriously the worst group of sports fans I’ve ever encountered in my 25ish years of posting online. The most arrogant, juvenile insufferable collection of poor winner gloating children I’ve ever encountered. The fact that the moderators are allowing them to behave in that manner is pathetic. It’s just gross. Sometimes I forget about just how unbelievable toxic and shitty people can be, and then I go online and I’m like, oh yeah. We’re just the worst.

There is always plenty of douchery on the main boards come playoff time, but it's really been particularly obnoxious this go round. The character assassination and collective demonetization of the Blues players and organization has been completely over the top. Page after page of selective outrage and holier than thou sanctimonious clap trap. A new thread any time a Blues player or employee sneezes without covering their mouth. I have a lot of close friends who happen to be avs fans, but still it's been difficult to not judge their entire fan base after reading some of the shit their worst have been posting recently.

I saw some of them now try to play revisionist history and say Kadri got screwed with his suspension last year. This rivalry would have potential on here, but I don't see how you can interact with a lot of their posters. Other fanbases have similar impressions of them too.

I'm not sure about Chucky (though I wouldn't mind, what do we have to lose) but agree with the rest. Colorado has given us more of a chance than I expected, but we have failed to execute when it mattered most. 0 shots in OT in game 1 with a chance to steal a game, multiple missed opportunities in game 3 and then last night we coughed up too many bad goals to give ourselves a realistic chance of winning. Without the PP goals, this would have been a blowout.
It's a real shame that we have limited MacKinnon and Makar as much as possible but have not been able to take advantage of that.

Guys just want to say I’m cheering for you. As a sens fan over here I’ve always hated that trash bag kadri. Always was a dirty little punk. With him on their team I’ll be cheering against them the rest of the way.

Binnington, defense, ROR/Perron, sometimes Buch, and moments from other forwards showed up, but man Husso and the bulk of the forwards sucked this playoffs. I think Saad more or less met expectations, but that says more about how he's not really a driver, but he can fit in anywhere. Barbashev was terrible, but Thomas and Tarasenko were useless more often than not. If your 2 top scorers are useless more often than not in the playoffs, then you aren't going anywhere.
Just such a waste when our top line was able to neutralize Colorado's top guys. MacKinnon, Makar, Rantanen didn't beat us. The fact that the Thomas/Schenn lines couldn't do their job is beyond frustrating.

leaky goaltending will sink any team. even the 2002 redwings would sink if they got leaky goaltending.
dont gotta stop everything but you gotta deliver key saves, especially when games within 1 goal. husso is not doing that. i dont see what the team has to lose with starting chuckie. he was 2-0 in the ahl playoffs with a .916 save pct. finished reg season on back to back shutouts. .925 save pct for entire season.
husso has not provided any big saves in his last 4 games. husso is rocking a .884 save pct. both these last 2 games which were essentially 1 goal games hes lost. not blaming him entirely, in fact i think the effort since binner went down is the main culprit as to why they are where they are but hes also not making any big saves.
i'd much rather resign perron and leddy than husso and give chuckie a shot at cracking the roster next year. and if the team and coaching staff feels the same way, then who cares if you hurt husso's feeling as he wont be back anyways.
team loves playing for chuckie. we saw this in december. husso aint winning you 3 games in a row. so roll the dice and take a chance and see if chuckie can lead you to victory, just as binner did vs Minny.

So many oddities in this series: Blues score first every game. Ory owning MacKinnon 5 on 5. Mack/Landeskog/Rantanen/Makar = 1 goal in non-garbage time. And down 3-1. What a gut punch.

You know last night I was so f***ing down, I said the season was over and the Blues were done. You know what this morning I am feeling like I was wrong. The Blues are going to come back and make a series out of this and I think they can still win this damn thing. I think the biggest key is going to come down to Berube. A great coach knows when to ease off and when to press buttons and it is button pressing time. Today in practice and tomorrow during the skate he needs to be in the face of every player not named RoR or Perron and call them out. Remind them that THEY let that scum of player Kadri take our out of goaltender and then punk us on our own ice two days later. Question their mettle, I want to see a pissed of Thomas, Vladi, Barby ect ect on the ice Wednesday. They need to come out tomorrow with Jordan Binnington confidence with the mindset of f*** yeah were heading home... for game 6 and win that game in dominant fashion.

All of these "revenge" articles are such piss poor sloppy terrible journalism. It's such a garbage storyline.
The painting of the entire fanbase and organization as racists is disgusting and anyone doing it on these boards should be banned.
It really was a brilliant PR move to put the focus on few awful tweets. I mean, how many online messages do you think Kadri has gotten like that in his career? I'm guessing thousands and thousands.
